Will coronavirus introduce the mark of the beast? That has become a common question in some circles.
The idea is that, soon, lockdowns around the world will be lifted—but only for those immune to the coronavirus. You will have to be tested to see if you’ve had the disease or be given a vaccine. Once that’s happened, you’ll be issued a certificate, identity card or tattoo. To travel and work freely, you’ll have to show this proof that you’re not infectious. In this way, millions will be tricked into receiving some kind of mark. Could this be the “mark of the beast”?
It’s a critical question. The Bible promises terrible curses for those who receive the mark of the beast. Revelation 14:9-10 warn, “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation ….” So, what is this mark?
We don’t have to guess. The Bible tells us exactly what the mark is. But we must be willing to look “here a little and there a little,” considering all the relevant scriptures.
Consider the idea that the mark is something brand new—to be unveiled in the near future. Is that true?
Revelation 20:4 describes John seeing in a vision all those who have been killed for Christ. He wrote: “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands ….”
Note, John saw all martyred Christians. Many were killed hundreds of years ago. Yet some of these Christians also refused the mark of the beast in their day. That tells you that the mark is not a new invention. True Christians are not generally being put to death right now, so those who reject this mark are not being executed right now. But ancient Christians who rejected the mark were killed—and it will soon be enforced again.
The Bible also makes clear that this mark revolves around obedience to God and His law. The same passage in Revelation 14 that warns of the dire curses for those who accept the mark, tells us what is different about those that who refuse it. They “keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (verse 12). Other scriptures state that the wrath of God falls on those who disobey (Ephesians 5:6; Colossians 3:5-6). Those who reject the mark, and thus are targeted by the beast, are those who “keep the commandments of God” (Revelation 12:17).
This mark revolves directly around the question of whether you will accept or reject God’s commandments.
Does this mean that we should ignore the heavy-handed response to coronavirus? Certainly not.
Coronavirus has led to a massive intrusion into people’s personal lives. Governments are increasingly dictating where people go, where they live, and how they worship. Neighbors are being encouraged to snitch on neighbors. The kind of phone tracking and surveillance systems being discussed and even rolled out are exactly what would be needed to enforce the mark of the beast.
Those worried about this surveillance and increased government powers are right—there is a real danger. But the mark of the beast is not some kind of certificate of immunity.
In fact, many of those warning that coronavirus will lead to the mark of the beast are themselves accepting the mark of the beast right now.
The mark revolves around which day you worship God.
Do you obey God’s command to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy? For hundreds of years, true Christians have been put to death for keeping Saturday and not Sunday.
It is the test commandment. Who will you obey—the Bible or man? Will you keep the day Jesus Christ kept (Mark 1:15, 38-39; Luke 4:16), the day that the first-century Church kept (Acts 13:14-15, 42-44; 16:12-15; 17:2), or will you follow the churches and governments of today?
That’s a very different view of the mark from the one held by most Christians. The mark of the beast is either ignored completely or described as some kind of secret tattoo or symbol. But you can prove that the mark of the beast revolves around the Sabbath day.
Herbert W. Armstrong proved this thoroughly in his free booklet Who or What Is the Prophetic Beast? Part 2 of the booklet deals with this subject specifically. It’s a short section—barely longer than some Trumpet articles. I urge you to read it for yourself. The punishments for accepting the mark of the beast are dire. You need to prove exactly what it is for yourself.

The marking is so subtle that even the elect can be fooled. It doesn’t come nor will come through a vaccine. That I know.
There are markings done every time one joins a secret society. That I know.
There are markings made each time a person gets involved in the occult and new age stuff.
I know of those who are marked for being in certain Christian denominations (no need of names some are big and popular)
There is one religion whose adherents are unknowingly marked by the beast..

The marking has been going on quietly and subtly.
Troy the next time someone comes for a deliverance try to deliver them from the mark of the beast and see if what I am saying is true or not.

We were told by Preaches, Evangelist, Messages In Tongues, with Interpretations, as well the Gift of Prophesies: “The Rapture would happen any minute!” Over the years most anything associated with a number. So as a result one has to assume: “Someone was wrong or we somehow, “Missed It!”

From colonial times to the present, usually every 20 years or so, American believers have been certain theirs was the end of days, their candidate for Antichrist was right, and the Mark of the Beast imminent. I am 63, and in that time period I have seen many instances where conservative Christianity has pronounced “the end is here!” Christ was supposed to come back by 1988…remember that? Then the end-times hawkers said the countdown was no longer from 1948, but 1967 when Israel took control of Jerusalem and the West Bank–so the new date “had” to be no later than 2007. Of course, there was the frenzy of end-times pronouncements before the year 2000 (remember Y2K and the preachers and “prophets” who contended the end was neigh?). Then we had the Blood Moons and people like John Hagee and Jonathan Cahn breathlessly announcing the end of days. And now we have the Bill Gates/George Soros/Anthony Fauci conspiracies about a pending vaccine being the Mark of the Beast. Is it any wonder that the world, who does not love us anyway, sees us as witless rubes willing to believe any conspiracy that comes down the pike? Some of my Christian brethren even endorse the QAnon fantasy and virtually worship Mr. Trump as an erstwhile Messiah, as a Cyrus or Chosen One. They also seem to mix together the Kingdom of God with the United States…Christ will indeed return some day; I just will not take the word of the often wrong “prophets” as to when it is, especially when it seems to favor a political ideology.

Troy Day I’m not saying MS isn’t doing exactly what MS says it’s doing. I’m saying to link that to the mark of the beast needs to be proven from scripture and not created on the fly because you get spooked about the unknown.
As I said, and it’s proveable, the pentacostal crowd has ran with every theory under the sun for the last 36 years I’ve been watching them. I believed it for a long time too, but now at this point in the game there is no more need for speculation.
I can only surmise that most Christians aren’t up to snuff yet to deal with Islam.

But let’s think about it a bit. The real mark of the beast cuts us off from God. It is incompatible with the seal of the Holy Spirit.
It is not possible that we can have it without doing it on purpose.
The mark of the beast is made to prevent us from believing in Jesus Christ. It is not a barcode, a chip or a vaccine that prevents a Christian from believing in Christ. Nevertheless, all these measures have the ultimate goal of lowering our vigilance, accustoming our spirit and dulling our morality in the face of real spiritual issues and that is the reason why we must expose and denounce them. The real mark of the beast is the one that will ask you to choose between your faith in Christ and aids (financial, for example), subject to conditions that contradict your Faith.
And watch the devilish finesse:
We said to ourselves “a day of persecution will come when the authorities will prevent us from meeting, but we will resist!” … we ignored the subtle cunning of the devil, and it was with our reasoned blessing that the churches closed and that the refractory Christians were stigmatized.
So be careful not to be entertained by false marks. No matter what it will be, the main thing is above all to have the mark of the Holy Spirit, the only one that is incompatible with the other!
The Word of God is a shield that we must activate every day by the power of the Holy Spirit in order to identify any deviant practice that undermines our justification acquired by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

The technology for the Mark of the beast is not the issue, sure whatever is happening with the virus and Microsoft technology may indicate plans to get people ready to receive the technology that will be used in the mark.
But the Bible is clear when it says the Mark of the beast will be given to those who worship the beast as God. And without it you cannot buy or sell. Therefore it is a way of exerting total control over every aspect of mankind‘s life including worship.
The fact that the scripture seems to indicate that the people who receive the mark of the beast seem not to be able to repent and that involves worship of a false God makes me think that the mark of the beast comes with a demon. Therefore the world will have an unleashing of demonic power like never seen before.
Islam has a part to play because they are ready to receive their Messiah (Madhi) which is our antichrist.
Furthermore the great tribulation will involve the antichrist regime cutting off the heads of those who refuse to worship him. Currently the only people who are doing that and have done that for 1400 years are the Muslims.
That is why I extrapolate the antichrist regime or New World Order that is coming will have some elements of Islam in it.
But I also realize that every major ideology in the world (not including Christianity) is set up to receive the antichrist:
