[Moses is meeting with The Lord God Almighty, the creator of all things! When God speaks, all that He says comes to pass; now He tells Moses that He is sending him to do His work. Moses was so sure that this was beyond his power, and all the means that he possessed, and he is astonished that even God himself should appoint him to this work!] “So now, go. I AM SENDING YOU to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “WHO AM I THAT I SHOULD GO to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” (Exo. 3:10-11) [Just imagine you or I standing in the presence of our Abba Father; Face-to face, Wow, how could we argue with our Creator about what He is asking us to do?] “Then the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. The LORD said, “Throw it on the ground.” Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. “This,” said the LORD, “is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers–the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob–HAS APPEARED TO YOU.” (Exo. 4:2,3,5) [Can’t he who created the mouth, all organs of speech, and has given us the gift of speech also, cannot he give anointed words to speak? God can take away those gifts and restore them again. Do not aggravate him: He who created the eye, the ear, and the mouth, has also made the blind, the deaf, and the dumb!] “Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The LORD said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? IS IT NOT I, THE LORD? (Exo. 4:10-11) [God’s designs are the issues of infinite wisdom, and THEREFORE THEY ARE ALL RIGHT; God’s resources are the most appropriate, because they are the choice of an infinite knowledge THAT CANNOT ERROR; we can very safely credit the goodness of the His design, founded in infinite wisdom; we can rely on the divine accomplishment of the end, because the means are chosen and applied by infinite knowledge and skill.] “…the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! HOW UNSEARCHABLE HIS JUDGMENTS, AND HIS PATHS BEYOND TRACING OUT!” (Rom. 11:20, 33) [Oh, let of have a willingness TO DO WHATEVER our Abba Father calls us to do!]

Never heard of it? I suppose you mean all of him and none if me? Seems a little “romantic” I think God uses men. (Mankind) Vessels; useful, available and clean might be a little easier to understand.
    Nice poem Scotty.

Don’t know what to tell you Mr Day. It’s not really self denial to please the Lord. All things considered?

This life and and the next as he is so worthy. Jesus is worthy. Worthy of it all lol.
That must have been quite the interview. Moses and the burning bush. What do you think about hand full of leprousy . From his own bosom no less.

as mentioned to Jim Price what self-denial? Christians in America today are concerned with how to get more riches and pleasure – ice cream social is at the top of the list followed by a brand new car (on credit) every year. I disagree with Jim about 10% from retirement checks. Social security checks will be no more in 10-15 years. What then?

Matthew 6:20 KJV — But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

I am surviving on my SS check with a very small retirement check
I did sotore up any riches or anything on my own. The social security was mandatory. My retirement I did not contribute to it.
I had a chance for the company to match some if I contributed.
I do believe Dave Ramsey, Ron Blue and the late Larry Birkett that a person needs to give God his tithes (10%) and 10^ away for emergency fund and retirement. But being the only breadwinner it was hard and now it is still hard and I have nothing to fall back on.

Troy Day I consider my self poor. I do not consider myself middle class. I live from check to check hoping things don’t happen
    I drive a 2002 Ford Windstar
I live in a 1995 single wide mobile that is not paid for with a leaking roof with tarp over it.
Yes my taxes came down, but health-care ate up the increase.
How about quit denying it you are just as bias on these issues
I haven’t seen gas below a dollar since President H.W.Bushes days

Yes Scotty You are quite right Sir. Your chart proves my point exactly. Gas prices went up after 9/11 Ricky Grimsley may contribute it to deep state 9 and the Bushes having to pay for their oil loss, but I remember it quite well – was doing my first dissertation right then. Then right around Bush’s end gas went down to dollar and some again and held until Obama was elected. It was all high hill after that. Just gassed up @ $2.50 today Sure miss the old 50 cent prices. Not sure what Terry Wiles gases up down in South America today but oh well
