Donald Trump, the 45th President is walking through the Cyrus prophecy of Isaiah 45 even as we speak! It starts in verse 1: “To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held- to subdue nations before him and to loose the loins of kings…” Trump had no interest in Syria till his heart was moved by the sight of suffering children. In this brief video I explain why God is getting this President involved with nations and what it means to “loose the loins of kings.”

In the rush to prepare Trump for his meeting with Kim Jong Un in May, the White House is overseeing a frantic scramble to resolve even the most fundamental questions on the U.S. side: Where will the summit be? Who will be at the table? What should be on the agenda?

They have about 2½ months to figure it out — a rapid timetable, especially given the tumult roiling the White House. Since shocking the world — and his staff — by agreeing to meet with Kim, Trump fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. He also decided to dump national security adviser H.R. McMaster when he finds a replacement.

I must admit, you can throw prophecies around pretty easily and apply them to lots of things/persons as has been done for years, and perhaps some might be fulfilled. I have no confidence in these guys, thus far.

It seems, for the most part, at least, genuine prophecies were directed to events far forward in years after it’s being spoken.

This “prophecy” is based on Isiah 45 chapter

    Is. 45:11 states
Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

HONEST QUESTION: Do you really believe Trump can command GOD?

My interpretation of this passage is that God is saying; “Do you really think that you have the right to command Me?” I do not believe that we have the ability to command God. This verse is actually saying that we do not have that ability.

Isaiah 45 is affirming God’s claim to be the only God who created all things and rules by his power (v.5-6).

Vs.11 seems to be directed to the one “who quarrels with His maker” (v.9-10) questioning the means he uses (v.1, Cyrus, a Gentile king whom God gives the title of “His anointed,” i.e. Messiah). And so, vs.11 God challenges his antagonists with the question, if it is a question, and I paraphrase, “Who are you to question me about what I do with men whom I created? Are you, the work of my hands, going to tell me what to do?”

    • Reply April 2, 2018

There is a huge difference between stepping out in faith and trying to tell God what to do.

    • Reply April 2, 2018

Scotty Searan Depends on the text and context.

I think in Malachi God is not challenging them but inviting them to trust him.

    • Reply April 2, 2018

      Scotty Searan

I will say that in the preceding verses God does use illustrations about them questioning God.
But starting in verse 11 God changes and did say command ye me not going against his previous teaching, because he was talking about Israel striving with him. He was talking about them questioning His power.
But then he said command ye me and did start to reveal what he was going to do for Israel.. He wanted to hear their earnest pleas or commandments.

Nelson Banuchi these two places are about the only way these phrases are used in the holy scriptures. And this is where heresy can come in.
I really do not believe in commanding God or proving God.
If if not mention more than two times in the holy scriptures, it is not doctrinally sound.

Do you feel this is a relevant word? Should the Christian church be led by it?

    • Reply April 13, 2018

I took time to view the UT video and compared his comments with my bible study and teaching over a lifetime and found no relevance to what he was saying. It’s a case of finding too much; like the young prospector spotting something yellow and not recognizing that it was fool’s gold. Trump is leading us very close to an expanded war, only his advisors and bringing other allies into the fray may keep us from a wider war.

Troy, I have no idea if Trump is Cyrus or not. A lot of Christians who voted for him think so. He may be or it could be how some evangelicals rationalize him to fit into their own standards. I voted for him because of a fleece I put out. I now have my own verses out of 1st Corinthians 1, which explains Trump to me.

    • Reply April 12, 2018

      Jan Dixon Sykes

If Trump is building a wall, this reinforces the “Cyrus” metaphor. The book of Ezra is about how Cyrus rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem and “built an house at Jerusalem.” Trump, also in his first year, announced how he was building an embassy in Jerusalem. ………….. If Christians believe Mexicans are great people, then they should be quite capable of making Mexico great again. Maybe we could even go there to help. If you remember, the Good Samaritan we were told to be like, never took the victim he found home. He put him up in a nearby hotel.

Jan but most evangelicals who voted for him voted on the premises of such “words” and kingdom-now ideology as discussed with Dan Irving we know it so because his plan for America was unclear and no sane person could have voted for him based on his plan http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/what-is-donald-trumps-plan-for-america/

His election promise was America First. He said he would build up the military and he is. He said he would help vets and he is letting them have vouchers to get health care at private hospitals. He said he didn’t like the TPP trade deal and he got us out. He said he would move our embassy to Jerusalem and he is. He said he would lower taxes and he has. He said he would deregulate and he has. He said he thought climate warming was a redistribution hoax and he got us out of the Paris Accord. He said he would remember the evangelicals and he gave them their freedom of political speech back without losing their tax exempt status. He said he wanted to repeal and replace Obamacare, but Congress wouldn’t agree, so he killed the mandate tax. He hired Betsy DeVos to kill Common Core.

Most could do so and keep their cool but it’s the 20% who get heated up and lose control of clear thinking. Some voted for T just because he was on the republican ticket and now realize that he is an odd bird but don’t want to be reminded that they were fooled by 200 Russians working day and night to to make his opponent look bad.
