Time to Arise and Shine – Ray E Horton

Arise, shine; for your light has come. And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising” (Isaiah 60:1-3).

Isaiah 60 has been a consistent prophetic word for our times

It is quite amazing how efficient the Lord is with the Living Word. In one sense, this is a prophecy for Israel; in another, it foretells Jesus’ coming. And for us, I believe God is speaking of the days in which we are living.

Peter wrote, referring to Jesus, known as the Morning Star: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; of which you do well to take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19).

Jesus has come, and He has arisen in our hearts, and we do indeed have “a more sure word of prophecy,” and we need to take heed.

Take heed to the prophetic word in this day to arise and shine. We indeed do see deep darkness in the world today, but, take heart, the Lord’s glory is not only upon us, but Jesus is within us (the mystery of the ages, not known to the ancient prophet).

He gave all that we need. So, no more complacency; no more sitting back and observing. It is time to wake up in the spirit realm, arise, and allow Jesus to shine in our lives.

Isaiah 60 has been a consistent prophetic word for our times. I first heard it prophesied about 1974 by Ralph Martin. reported from a charismatic conference in Rome. This was soon after I was filled with the Holy Spirit.

And today, things are accelerating in the spiritual as we draw closer to the end, and even more now we need to arise and shine and be the light of Christ Who dwells within us, to show forth His glory and drive back the darkness for a great outpouring that will bring in a great harvest and win the nations. Glory!
