“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on WHAT THE SPIRIT DESIRES.” (Rom. 8:5) [We see in Romans chapter eight two wonderful freedoms * the freedom of “justification”, because there is no condemnation to us (v. 1) *the freedom of sanctification, because we can walk after the Spirit, and not after the flesh!] “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is LIFE AND PEACE.” (Rom. 8:6) [Jesus was teaching his disciple’s what would soon happen, how he would be captured and then crucified, Peter took Jesus to the side and began to rebuke Him; so Jesus:] “…turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are NOT setting your mind on THE THINGS OF GOD, but on THE THINGS OF MAN.” (Matt. 16:23) [We must learn to THINK DIFFERENTLY when we give our life to Jesus!] “Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” (Rom. 8:8) [Pleasing God is the highest accomplishment we can achieve, the enemy of our soul will battle us every step of the way to keep us from doing what pleases God! So look at this promise:] “You, however, are not in the flesh but IN THE SPIRIT, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you…If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also GIVE LIFE TO YOUR MORTAL BODIES through his Spirit who dwells in you.” (Rom. 8:9, 11) [Our Abba Father has honored us by allowing His Holy Spirit to live in us so He can teach and guide us, AND bring ALL things to our remembrance!] “…the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, WILL GUARD your hearts and YOUR MINDS in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS.” (Phil. 4:7-8) [There are so many beautiful and wonderful things of God that we can think about, search the scripture and see for yourself!] “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. WONDERFUL ARE YOUR WORKS; my soul knows it very well.” (Psa. 139:14)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR MINDS IN CHRIST JESUS!
