A Vision and Prophetic Word
We had a time of quiet prayer at Lake Erie Church this evening, individually listening for God’s voice to our hearts. The Lord built on a picture that He had given me this morning. In my prayer time this morning upon rising, after taking communion, the Lord brought to mind the latter rain and told me that Holy Spirit rain has been falling, and that when it rains, everyone gets wet.
When It Rains Everyone Gets Wet
It has been raining on all of mankind. Most people sense it but don’t recognize it and ignore it. When it rains, it rains on all. But they don’t understand what they feel
He reminded me of the prophesy in Joel 2:28 that “I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh.” It began at Pentecost, but have we seen the Spirit poured out on “all” flesh yet?
This evening He told me that the waters are rising. “The rains have been coming and the waters are rising, and the rivers of My Spirit are flowing. It has been raining on all of mankind. Most people sense it but don’t recognize it and ignore it. When it rains, it rains on all. But they don’t understand what they feel.”
In my mental picture, the rains were pouring down while the sun was out and shining bright, and there was a beautiful rainbow in the sky, the sign of the covenant God made to Noah and his descendants (who include us) that the Earth would never again be destroyed by a flood. There would be no need of that sign in the sky if it would never appear that a flood might be coming, as in the latter-day outpouring.
“But you know how to rest and float on the rising water, although most people don’t,” He spoke to my heart tonight. “They struggle to keep their feet on the known ground of comfort and complacency. But they are finding it harder and harder to walk in the rising waters, and they are struggling more and more.
The harvest is ripe
They have been struggling more than ever, and are looking for change
“They need to be told to stop with the ways of the world and to just float on My love and come to trust and rest in me.”
Then, I saw a picture of many arks floating on the waters. They were the various faithful churches. “You people, from the arcs of My church: Invite them on board where they will come to know Me and grow strong. It is time, and they will know it. They have been struggling more than ever, and are looking for change, for relief. You have their answer. The lands have been watered, and it is time for the harvest.”
