There are many controversies and many voices in this old world. Brilliant minds and charismatic speakers. Lying signs too, false prophets and even false apostles. How can we have unity in the house of God in such a diverse and demanding age?
We can and must trust the good counsel of God word. We must be committed to its truthfulness and necessity. Men have always kicked against it. The Lord Jesus himself rebuked Paul for kicking against the goads. In fighting the faith he was fighting Christ. The pricking of his conscience and conviction for his wrong doing.
Scripture is a sure foundation for living and comfort in dying. We embrace the word of God and the word of God embraces us. We fall in love with its inspiration and its revelation of the Saviour. He is the true source of unity . Under him and under his instruction we learn to seek peace and holiness without which no man shall see the LORD. Peace.
