Good post bro. John Ruffle What say ye? William DeArteaga
William DeArteaga
I like the article. I did not know the Pope had been baptized in the Spirit in this way. That makes me more hopeful about his pontificate, though I am still suspicious.

Which way is he baptized? Is there another way? Presumably many Catholic mystics have experienced the Holy Ghost baptism through history
John Ruffle
I’m cautious. Too many people are claiming some sort of baptism, but I’m very concerned about the lack id liturgical depth in the Church at large. Was going to say “theological depth” – but maybe there is too much theology – or certainly far too much theological opinion, and as a result, he who shouts loudest makes the top of the popularity list. But that is not how God’s economy operates. For around 7 years, I’ve been considering my actions should Islamic terrorists attack a morning mid-week Catholic mass. Now it’s come to pass. Meantime we are holding “feel good” spectator-driven services and I wish I could see genuine community being built – but I guess I’m short sighted, because I’m not seeing it. We need a divine visitation – not “revival” in the accepted sense of the word.

Is this basically Catholics that are converting to the faith instead of to the church?
