| PentecostalTheology.com“Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: LET THEM BE TURNED BACK and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.”
– Psalm 35:4
Imprecatory prayer is praying against your enemies. It is contrary to the spirit of Christ and the gospel. We don’t pray “dash their babies against the rocks” in the New Testament. Jesus says love your enemies, bless those that curse you and pray for those that spitefully use you. Praying that God spares their life. That God helps them know the great love of God in the person of Jesus Christ. And get saved.
Witchcraft and demons however, have no mercy from God. We must fight the good fight of faith, loving the those caught up it’s bondage. Praying, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
On the one hand breaking the curses they cast against the children of God in faith. on the other hand love, not wrath. We don’t return curse for curse. But we pray TURN BACK the demons. turn back the hate. turn back whatever foul intent they cast upon us. Rebuking and breaking every evil assignment in Jesus mighty name.
It’s a spiritual walk, and a spiritual fight. We renounce the hidden things of darkness. We pray that Christ word be true in us. “The devil has nothing in me.” The blood of Jesus is enough for me. The passover lamb and promise “when I see the blood i will pass over” is ours yet today.
The blood of the everlasting covenant. The blood of Christ. A Lamb for sinners slain. it’s not our “great faith” or “warring in the heavenlies,” It’s the Lamb and his precious blood that saves us, seperates us, and gives us boldness. It’s the blood of Jesus that keeps us too for that heavenly shore. Peace.
