Revival in America – Ray E Horton

Our country is ready for and in need of revival.” Can you guess who wrote that?  It was George Washington! The American revolution came soon after the Great Awakening of the 1700s. The revolution began in the hearts of men and was God inspired.

The revolution began in the hearts of men and was God inspired.

I would say we really need a spiritual revolution today to bring our country back to the values of freedom and life and the Biblical worldview. Government is from God, and we have an important role as Christians to be involved, especially in prayer, awareness, and voting.

Revival starts in men’s hearts, and a Great Awakening has begun in some regions of the world. Let us pray that it spreads through very city, town, village, and rural area throughout the world.

I particularly pray for the USA, and for a new revolution in men’s hearts back to their Creator and Lover of their souls as the Gospel of God’s Grace spreads throughout the land. As people learn of His goodness and His love, may they repent of self-centered ways and put their trust in Him alone.

Freedom Prospers When Faith Is Vibrant

Freedom prospers when faith is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged. The time has come to turn to God and reassert our trust in Him for the healing of America. Our country needs and is ready for a spiritual renewal. President Ronald Reagan spoke this in a speech to the American people on February 6, 1986, quoting our first President. And this couldn’t be more true for today.

When read in context, the instruction in 1 Tim 2 to pray for all who are in authority is so the Gospel can go forth unhindered. When we have good government, God’s work is not hindered in the land. It is so important for us to be praying now.

Serving the Lord as encourager, reconciler, intercessor and prophetic teacher of God's Word, primarily in person and on Facebook, as well as writer and editor. Beyond, or as part of, the Ministry of Reconciliation that we are all called to, I am serving the Lord and His people as a minister of prayer at a local church, and encouraging the brethren locally among people I know, and worldwide on Facebook
