I appreciate President Trump’s Executive Order which resulted in deporting this Syrian Christian family who actually supported Trump. This Executive Order will certainly make us safer by deporting families like this. They are clearly a threat to national security.

In other words, if some US President decided to issue an executive order forcing refugees fleeing Communist Cuba to return to that country you would steadfastly oppose it?

The issue as far as I’m concerned is that it was not well thought out. Supposedly, exceptions were carved out for Christians & other religious minorities, but someone missed the memo when it came to this family.Also, the treatment of people with green cards was illegal. I certainly agree with stringent vetting, but when a translator from Iraq who risked his life by working with the U.S.A. and who went through a two year vetting process was sent back from Cairo with his family after they had sold their house and left every thing behind, that undermines our efforts in the Middle East. Why would any Arab help us after what happened to him? I posted this with obvious sarcasm to demonstrate the utter ridiculousness of this Executive Order. To answer you’re question, the President does have the authority nto limit refugees coming into this country, but it must be within the confines of the U.S. Constitution.
