    Concerning war:

Whatever you’ve done to the least of these you’ve done to ME

    – Jesus

I’m sorry I just cannot support it anymore on top of loving your enemies but when you know and SEE Christ IN ALL…..it’s a wrap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfPZ1Z5N_ow&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR3O10ikCnfkCX83oVhcKt1_DRpTaBijs34gR5FUbbv5_G0VZcs3Y5FXW9Q

I’m not buying it Troy. When Christians pursue comfort, security and control and then pass it off as being in the interest of “the least of these”. God’s will being done is what we should pray for, even for the “least of these”.

Hugh Lowrie I have the impression that many of the debates within the church…take place on a primarily moral level. On that level, different parties battle about right and wrong. But that battle is often removed from the experience of God’s first love which lies at the base of all human relationships. Words like right-wing, reactionary, conservative, liberal, and left-wing are used to describe people’s opinions, and many discussions then seem more like like political battles than spiritual searches for truth…Dealing with burning issues without being rooted in a deep personal relationship with God easily leads to divisiveness because, before we know it, our sense of self is caught up in our opinions about a given subject…For Christian leadership to be truly fruitful in the future, a movement from the moral to the mystical is required” (Henri Nouwen, In the Name of Jesus).

      Troy Day
Jesus said there will be wars and rumors of war..
One nation will arise against another…
There is nothing new under the sun..
There was a first WORLD War then a second.. and because logic says after two there is three so warmongers have their prophecies on a THIRD WORLD WAR..
Jesus said “YOU CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT ME..”
It is wise to remember that there is a KING SOVEREIGN whose eyelids are fluttered by prayers not nuclear bombs..
God is in control of the universe and everything is naked before His eyes….
      Listen to Jesus://
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.//
All the rulers of this world evil and good are in His hands.. They can’t add a minute to their lives WITHOUT HIM…. He knows them ALL.. They CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT HIM.
Seems people overlook this fact but it is true..
Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

Ray E Horton so HOW do you see this as prophetic? Peter Vandever USA is the foot that stomps and Iran the snake? No problem if speaking of ISLAM but what about all the Christians in IRAN that are now ordered to persecution and martyrdom? Do WE as Pentecostals really want another war just to AVOID impeachment which BTW festers as Washington eyes war https://365prophetic.com/2020/01/04/prophecy-i-will-not-allow-iran-to-nip-at-your-heels/?fbclid=IwAR0SGym1ermWSbI0z1xpmAi-zv3d3BQd12KhXLVa0Aw4i-OVBhFXLJaPXw8

Pretty cynical thought that it would be to “about impeachmrnt” – a distraction, or for any political motive. I do pray for believers in Iran. The church has been growing there.

Thanks Ray E Horton President’s Trump’s speech on Iran is about to begin. I found live coverage on YouTube (have no cable), so I plan to watch it and hear first hand what he has to say. Lord, be with our President as he speaks to the nation, and with his crucial decisions. Father, we pray for our military and innocent civilians during this crisis, in Jesus name. Father, have your way.

    Jim Price

Just watched and my sense was that the generals and others had toned him down. He stayed with the scrip and I think did nor escalate the tensions. But give him time,he is the master of chaos. Note that he said Obama gave Iran 1.5 billion. That money was Iran’s and all the allies agreed to release that money with the condition that they not develop nuclear weapons. Of course he got in some bragging time.

Jim Price just to clarify He said previous administration did NOT mention Obama by name He also mention 2 distinct amounts

1st amount was Iran’s own money frozen in intl banks that Obama unfroze |

2nd amount I got no clue – think it was what Iran received after the deal from intl donors not USA only

Isara Mo the chaos will come TOMORROW during the UN meeting in DC where Iran was NOT given visa to be presented

The President’s speech concerning the Iranian missile attack on our military base in Iraq came across to me as measured and well-balanced, de-escalating the situation. He noted that no-one was killed, and apparently we have decided a military response isn’t necessary.

I suspect the Iranian attack was measured on their part and not expected even by them to do much damage to us, and was mainly to save face after their terrorist general was killed. So, I would concur with the President’s statement last night that “all is well.” We are not at war.

I believe the best thing that could happen would be for the people of Iran to successfully rise up, withe the help of some of their military, and get rid of their terrorist government. That is how I am praying. Meanwhile, may the strong growth of the persecuted church in Iran continue, in Jesus name.

Troy Day Source for 80 dead? I think Trump simply looked serious about a serious matter.

Ray E Horton saw it on BBC late last night – In a statement to state television, the Revolutionary Guard said 15 missiles hit 20 critical points, killing 80 soldiers, wounding 200 and destroying large quantities of military equipment, including helicopters, according to the Mehr News Agency. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/iran-live-updates/2020/01/08/c835c218-31a0-11ea-9313-6cba89b1b9fb_story.html

Ray E Horton no not really BBC confirmed first then some italian media who had soldiers in the UN forces in Iran too Not sure why Trump minimized it He was very careful in his wording that no American lives were lost No Iranians were harmed but as far as other nations he kind of left them out

Ray E Horton William DeArteaga Neil Steven Lawrence The test for so-called anticipatory self-defence is very narrow: it must be a necessity that is “instant, overwhelming, and leaving no choice of means, and no moment of deliberation”. This test is unlikely to be met in these particular cases. (6) A 2010 UN report on “targeted killings” said there was a weighty body of scholarship that viewed the self-defence argument as having the right to use force “against a real and imminent threat when the necessity of that self-defence is instant, overwhelming, and leaving no choice of means, and no moment of deliberation.”

BBC with a tremendous IMO comparison on our historic war policies as views by the Brits themselves James P Bowers https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-51025494
