Do you guys read your Bibles and study church history or….? Seeing as no one’s seen Jesus Christ in the flesh nor have we been directly appointed by an original apostle… there haven’t been apostles for 2,000 years. As for prophets GOD Himself said in Revelation that He’s done giving revelations! That’s it. We have everything we need from God in the Bible. We don’t need, nor do we receive “fresh revelation”. Wanna hear God speak? Open your Bible and read it out loud. You guys have got to educate yourselves before it costs you your souls.

Is this a trap or something? Aren’t Apostles ordained by God.
    But you ask.
We have a guy in town that people say is the 13th apostle or something. I never been there. I don’t know. If you ain’t praying in Jesus name it’s a no. You got nothing coming. I don’t care who you are. Titles won’t help you.
I met a missionary once started and nurtures dozens of churchs but you’d never know it. Seems like a regular guy. No fuss. No title or fancy robes. I believe the title and office of Apostle is legitimate even if there are abuses and fakes. But before you get upset there are fake bishops and fake preachers too. You may as well set the table. For the record God has always had mercy on me in giving me good pastors. I don’t know any fake pastors. There’s no glory in changing diapers or tending sheep. Week after week year after year they’re there. Don’t ask to fight anybody over it. If you’re happy with the way things are in your church good for you. I couldn’t be more happy. God bless you.

2 Corinthians 11:13 KJV — For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
These are ones that glory in men.

I believe the role of apostles and prophets are still in operation in our churches, but because we hold the office of the Apostle and prophet in such a high estate most do not want the office attached to them.
To say the office of the Apostle and Prophets have been done away with, would also help in the argument that some of the Gifts of The Spirit have been done away with. To which I disagree..
In fact I believe most of our Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Pentecostal movement at the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s was Apostles and Prophets.
I don’t believe many would argue that David Wilkerson qualified for the office of an Apostle, because God sent him on a special mission and calling for NYC. He was also a prophet, Evangelist, Pastor/teacher.
There is a nondenominational church called the church of the Apostles in Atlanta, Ga.
Well there is the fodder let’s chew on it.

I know a well respected lady Sis Virginia-Lemieux Shepard in the NW Florida District of the Assemblies of God that planted 2 churches. I believe that was an Apostle role.

Do you believe a person will call themselves a prophet, taking in consideration today is not like it was in Old Testament days, when God just spoke to a few at any given time. Yet today the Holy Ghost could and will speak with different people at various places all over the world and some may give a prophetic message.
IMHO we won’t see a prophet as the Old Testament prophets till we see the TWO WITNESSES mentioned in Revelations
