Paul Hughes | PentecostalTheology.comHere is some meat for those of you who are NT Greek-capable. This discussion bears on at least two vital issues in NT theology: the nature of the Trinity (and the position of Christ therein) and the concept of KENOSIS (Christ’s “emptying” of himself and taking the form of a slave). I am not an expert in the interpretation of the Greek infinitive, but Burk’s conclusions regarding the hierarchy within the Trinity agree with my own, garnered from other evidence.
