Bill Stockham | PentecostalTheology.comI remember years ago, reading about a preacher going up to preach and his wife handed him a note as he was on his way. He opened the note and placed it on the pulpit, it said “KISS” when the moderator saw the note he said “that’s nice of your wife to give you a kiss! Oh no the preacher said; that means “Keep It Simple Stupid”!
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty [trickery, craftiness], so your minds should be corrupted from THE SIMPLICITY THAT IS IN CHRIST.” (2 Corin. 11:3) [Paul said basically: Who can save more fully and more powerfully than that Jesus whom I have preached to you.] “For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached…such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ.” (2 Corin. 11:4, 13) [Please, keep to the simplicity of the gospel!] “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; TEST YOURSELVES. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test. Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong–not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that YOU WILL DO WHAT IS RIGHT EVEN THOUGH WE MAY SEEM TO HAVE FAILED.” (2 Corin. 13:5-7) [How important it is for us to be right in the sight of our Abba Father, after all it is only His perception of us that matters!] “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER, BE OF ONE MIND, LIVE IN PEACE. And the God of love and peace will be with you.” (2 Corin. 13:11) [Brothers and sisters: Let us think the same concerning the Word of God; let there be no conflicts among us. Be of the same faith, and let disagreements about our faith become the bond a peace for ever for us!] “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corin. 13:14)
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THE LOVE OF GOD, AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE WITH US ALWAYS!
