Sometimes why questions aren’t the best questions. I was just reading in Jude abotu the Lord coming back with ten thousand of his saitns, wondering if Lord there would have originally been LORD, if Jude was quoting from Greek– probably not Amharic..

Some why questions dont even need to be asked and others dont even need to be answered

      Re Jude 14

      Hi Link

If you believe that Jesus is LORD , than that is what Jude meant. Jude most likely had The book of Enoch on his mind when writing his epistle. In Greek, Jude 14 it says the Lord coming with myriads ( countless ) of saints.
Isiah and Revelation confirm the reference

      Zech 14:5
And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

      Rev 19:14
And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.

Note: Armies of heaven. No u turn in the air of saints 🙂

Rico Hero The saints meet the Lord in the air before he returns. If all you have for the pre-trib rapture is ‘not appointed unto wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ’, and allegorical interpretations of ‘come up hither’ it’s a pretty flimsy basis for putting the rapture before the return of Christ, especially when I Thes. 4:15 puts the rapture at the parousia of Christ and II Thes. 2:8 says the man of sin will be destroyed at the brightness of His parousia. Sorry to hi-jack the thread. It’s just hard for me to see so many people on the pre-trib highway of circular reasoning. I can’t find the on-ramp in the Bible.

Notice He is returning with His holy angels also. ]
