  1. 1.The Nile turned to blood: "The river is blood. If one drinks from it, one rejects (it) as human and thirsts for water."
  2. Frogs: "Frogs were throughout the land. Even the palace was filled with frogs. When they struck the vessels of pottery of the nobles, the vessels of pottery of the peasants were likewise affected."
  3. Gnats: "The dust swarmed with gnats. They covered the people and the entirety of the land. Even the magicians were not able to remove the gnats."
  4. Flies: "The land swarmed with flies. One came to another, and to his neighbor, but there was nothing to do against (them)."
  5. Boils: "Behold, (the) hand of God was severe against the people of the land, from the senior of the palace to the lowliest of the populace, striking with fiery pestilence and great boils breaking forth upon man and beast."
  6. Thunderstorm of hail and fire: "The thunder resounded over the land, there was hail and fire mingled with the hail, and rain poured down in torrents."
  7. Locusts: "The land grew dark and the people were in sorrow because of the grasshoppers."
  8. Darkness and lack of light: "The land is not light, but dark. Without brightness."
