Devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ is also devotion to his people and his work in their life . their nurturing and learning.
Addiction is very strong language and uncomfortable. Men commit crime because of addiction. abandon their children because of addiction. do many horrible things because of addiction.
Addiction to Jesus Christ does not corrupt men but it does refine men . knowing to do good before God is even more compelling than cigarettes or sex. willingness to do uncomfortable things and to forsake the pleasures of sin to serve the Saviour and his people can absolutely lead to our ruin. but i ask you what is your life but a vapor? didnt you come from death and go to death and arent you dead already? And now the newness of life and a new man lives . A new man created in righteousness and true holiness. a home in heaven, Zion with all its promise and glory is ours !
Dont be scared of strong language and holy passions. Embrace them. you will find devotion is more than a few verses in the morning and the fire of God more than a little excitement and some loud noise. peace.
