Sorry but I had to laugh when I seen this. HE WILL KILL ME. God told Samuel to anoint David king . and the great Samuel was fearing for his life. But God didnt rebuke him for it. Sometimes he does and sometimes we need it. But not always. God walked him through his problem. Just like God walked Moses through his. And how many countless souls has God helped and walked them through their problems. The problem with problems we dont take our problems to the one that solves our problem. David said I poured out my complaint before him and before him I showed my trouble. He was hiding in a cave but he learned to pour out his troubles to God.
Im sorry but i did, I laughed. the humanity and honesty of Samuel. One the great prophets. He hacked the heathen king to death. He called down hail and made it rain. Samuel mightily used of God is praying. Lord I want obey. Lord I want to do the right thing. Lord Im youre guy but He will kill me. God help us. I think weve all been there.
Sometimes you gotta laugh. we get so full ourselves sometimes. its good to see what a real man of God looks like. Yes quick in obedience. yes strong faith and patience. but sometimes its folly and fear. Help us Jesus. you gotta love the great alibis in the bible too. I was just passing through on my way to a sacrifice.
