HE UNDERSTANDS

“For this reason he [Jesus] had to be made like them [us], fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, HE IS ABLE TO HELP THOSE WHO ARE BEING TEMPTED.” (Heb. 2:17-18) [Having mentioned the death of Christ, the apostle here proceeds to avoid and eliminate any scandal of His death on the cross; and he does this by showing both how it suited God that Christ should suffer and how much we would benefit by those sufferings.] “Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, FIX YOUR THOUGHTS ON JESUS, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.” (Heb. 3:1) [We must realize how amazing this is, we are loved SO MUCH by the creator of all things that He has called us to share eternal life with Himself, so no matter what we go through we need to “fix” our thoughts on this fact! We are loved!!! And a great price was paid for our redemption! ] “…Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And WE ARE HIS HOUSE, if indeed WE HOLD FIRMLY TO OUR CONFIDENCE and the hope in which we glory.” (Heb. 3:6) [We must live for Jesus, and it is up to us to hold very firmly to our confidence in Him, that they may rejoice in hope. In a word, we must walk closely, consistently, courageously, and constantly, in our faith and our practice of the gospel that our Master, when he comes, may identify and approve of us!] “…you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him YOU TOO ARE BEING BUILT TOGETHER TO BECOME A DWELLING IN WHICH GOD LIVES BY HIS SPIRIT.” (Eph. 2:19-22) [We are the dwelling place of the Lord God almighty! He is our awesome Abba Father who gave His all for us to prove His love. There are so many magnificent things awaiting us so WE MUST remain faithful!!!] “Now to him WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN ALL WE ASK OR IMAGINE, according to his power that IS AT WORK WITHIN US, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Eph. 3:20-21)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that WE TOO ARE BEING BUILT TOGETHER TO BECOME A DWELLING IN WHICH GOD LIVES BY HIS SPIRIT!
