Preaching against Halloween will get you in trouble at most Pentecostal churches. (Been there/Done That). . I even had one lady come to me and tell me that I was wrong because I was missing the point that Halloween was a form of charity. And that the purpose of Halloween was to give candy to the poor children whose parents can’t afford to buy them candy and Halloween is the only way they have to get candy. (((( I just rolled my eyes as she walked away in disbelief that anyone could actually really believe that the purpose of Halloween is Charity. . . I wanted to point out to her all of the adults who go to night clubs to Halloween parties, and how you can be charitable without Halloween. . . . But I knew it would’ve been pointless to argue with her.
