For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, ✝️ and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
