Bill Stockham | PentecostalTheology.com“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, EQUIP YOU WITH EVERYTHING GOOD FOR DOING HIS WILL, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Heb. 13:20-21) [katartizo?; to get ready, prepare; to complete, equip, fully trained, made complete, to be perfect! Our perfection in every good work is the great thing desired by us and for us, that we may while here have a perfection of integrity, a clear mind, a clean heart, lively affections, regular and resolved wills, and suitable strength for every good work to which they are called now!] “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Heb. 11:1) [Faith and hope go together; and the same things that are the object of our hope are the object of our faith!] “And without faith IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Heb. 11:6) [Our faith in God is the evidence of OUR LOVE FOR HIM and OUR TRUST IN HIM!!!] “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9) [Our Abba Father’s wonderful gift to us is our salvation!] “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom WE HAVE GAINED ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” (Rom. 5:1-2) [The awesome benefits and privileges which come to us from justification are life giving that we need to MAKE IT SURE TO OURSELVES THAT WE ARE JUSTIFIED: dikaioo?; to show to be righteous, declare righteous: acquitted, freed, vindicated! This awesome justification also provides us access to ANOTHER GRACE; which will enable us to stand!] “STAND FIRM THEN, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from THE GOSPEL OF PEACE.” (Eph. 6:14-15)
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that WE HAVE GAINED ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE IN WHICH WE NOW STAND!
