River Hills Church of God (former Ocoee Church of God) is located at 813 Highway 64 Ocoee, Tennessee. It is situated at a very historic crossroad where Old Federal Road intersects Highway 64.

Old Federal Road is among the routes the Cherokee people traveled in the Trail of Tears. Continuing northeast, Old Federal Road dead ends into Hildabrand Road and the Ocoee River. This area was the home of the historic Hildebrand Landing or Portage. The Hildebrand family owned and operated a mill for the Cherokee people and a ferry at the north end of the eleven to twelve mile boat portage between the upper parts of the Ocoee River in Tennessee and the Conasauga River in Georgia. This portage provided one of the most significant shortcuts in the East. With the use of this portage along with two others, one could travel a direct inland water route from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico. This area of the Hildebrand Landing is now home to Eddie James Ministries in Ocoee, TN.
