Genesis 35:1:
“And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and
make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest
from the face of Esau thy brother”.

The repositioning of Jacob and his household from Shechem to Bethel was a divine one.
God told Jacob to move away from Shechem to Bethel and live there. The immediate decisions taken by Jacob, show that he heard God clearly. And he did not waste the opportunity. It is clear here that God did not tell Jacob the details of his journey from Shechem to Bethel. God did not tell him the kinds of problems he would encounter on his way to Bethel. There was no in-between instruction. But Jacob took some strange decisions.
Genesis 35:2-4:
“Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put
away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your
garments: And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an
altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with
me in the way which I went. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange
gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their
ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem”.

THE RESULT
The question one may ask here is that why did Jacob take such a decision?
Jacob knew God as a jealous God who will not share His glory with strange gods.
Jacob knew God as a clean and holy God. Jacob knew that he had not positioned himself well with God to enjoy His divine protection on his way to Bethel. Jacob did not want to waste the opportunity God gave to him, by God being gracious enough to talk to him even in his sinful state.
The result of the drastic decisions taken by Jacob was awesome.  

Genesis 35:5-6 says;
“And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were
round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob. So
Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and
all the people that were with him”.

The above verses show that, there were hostile nations on the route to Bethel. But, they could not come against Jacob and his household, for he has redeemed the time. God did assign His angels to encamp round about them.
A believer must have a sound knowledge of God’s words and know God through His words, so as to escape the snare of the devil to do contrary to His will.
Genesis 35:7:
“And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there
God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother”.

Anytime there is a repositioning plan by God in the Bible, there will be clear evidence or evidences of wrong positioning. And also for God to plan repositioning, He would have a goal and a place in His mind.
How do I know this? It is because our God is a God of purpose. Whatever He does, He does with a purpose. And, that purpose will be connected to the overall purpose that He set from the beginning.

THE PURPOSE
The main purpose of God repositioning Jacob to Bethel was to begin to establish the covenant he had with Abraham. The foundation of this was laid by building an altar of worship, unto the Lord.
What happens when God plans to reposition you or when He repositions you?
He would have prepared a place for you. He will assign an angel to guide you to the place He prepared for you. Your protection is guaranteed on your way to the place He prepared for you. The Holy Spirit will speak to you to direct you. He will make a way for you where there is no way. He will make people you do not know to serve you – Ps. 18:43. He will glorify you – Is. 55:5. He will deliver  

you from the strivings of the people – Ps. 18:43
He will make you the head over the unbelievers – Ps. 18:43. It is the boss that has the authority.
When God makes you the boss, nobody can lift a finger against you. The strangers there will submit themselves to you.

THE DIRECTION
But, God will certainly do all that I have enumerated, if only you will take note of the following:
You must pay a steady attention to the direction of the Holy Spirit.
You must obey the direction of the Holy Spirit
You must not grieve the Holy Spirit – Eph. 4:30
You must guard against sin.
You must guard against anything that will take the number one place of God in your Life.
You must serve the Lord in your repositioned place.
You must pray without ceasing in your repositioned place.

WHEN WILL GOD PLAN TO REPOSITION HIS
PEOPLE?
When His overall agenda or plan is threatened.
When He desires quality service from His people.
When the repositioning will bring honor and glory to Him.
When the divine destiny of His chosen children, as designed by Him, is threatened.
Please pray this prayer:
O Lord, if my journey in life has been altered, correct it by your power, in the name of Jesus.
Many people need to be divinely repositioned now, because they are either  

presently self repositioned or evil repositioned. Or, even their divine repositioning is not completed. When a believer is rightly positioned, his living will bring glory to God.

THE QUALIFICATION
Who are those in need of divine repositioning?
Those who are under afflictions that defy solution, even after serious and genuine spiritual effort.
Those who are living in fear of their environment as did Jacob in the land of Shechem.
Those who are not serving God, because of their positioning.
Those who see destruction in their environment, instead of deliverance.
Those who see death in their environment, instead of life. Those who encounter constant failure in their environment, instead of success and progress.
Those who are not happy where they are, even after serious and genuine spiritual effort.
But, let me quickly add this, a repositioned believer who chose to commit an abomination in his new position, may find the blessings of repositioning cut off. The heaven will be shut against such, until he or she seriously seeks the face of the Lord for forgiveness, through genuine repentance.

AREAS OF REPOSITIONING
What are those things that can be repositioned?
1) Your marital destiny can be repositioned, if you want and pray for it.
2) You can be repositioned financially.
3) Your ministry can be repositioned.
4) You can be repositioned academically.
5) Your destiny can be repositioned.
6) Your career can be repositioned.  

PRAYER POINTS
Please pray the following prayers aggressively
1. Lord, let divine sense enter into our relationship.
2. I fire back, every arrow of the enemy fired at my marriage, in the name of
Jesus.
3. Let all the powers sucking the peace of my home be rendered impotent, in
the name of Jesus.
4. I retrieve my marriage from the altar of satanic destruction, in the name of
Jesus.
5. Let the blood of Jesus erase all past unprofitable memories of my marital
relationship.
6. I bind every spirit of demonic independence, in the name of Jesus.
7. Let the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ fall upon my marriage,
in the name of Jesus.
8. I remove my name from the book of broken homes, in the name of Jesus.
9. Lord, remove from the heart of …all excuses for not wanting to face the
difficulties of marriage.
10. Lord remove from the heart of … the intention of seeking ‘greener grass’ in
marriage.
11. Let the corpse of my marriage receive fire, in the name of Jesus.
12. Pray in the spirit for at least 10 minutes.
13. Thank you Lord for answered prayers.  
 

Palm 37:8:
“Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Fret not thy self in any wise to do
evil.”

This is simply saying, “Don’t let your anxiety drive you to a point where you
will sin against God.”
Proverbs 12:25:
“Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop; but a good word maketh
it glad.”

This is saying that the spirit of anxiety would turn a man upside down.
Matthew 6:25-34:
“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall
eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is
not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls
of the air. For they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature; and
why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they
grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you, that even
Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if
God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast
into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore, take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we
drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do
the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of
all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take
therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought
for the things of itself Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

ANXIETY STRESS
What is Jesus saying here? He is saying that we should not be anxious about  

anything.
Philippians 4:6-7:
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.”

It is when you are not worried, and you go to God in prayer and
supplication, that what is written in verse 7 would happen.
If you were a good reader of the Bible, you would have discovered that the vocabulary of God is different from that of man. Many things exist in the physical world that carry no weight as far as the spiritual realm is concerned. For example, the calendar of January to December exists only here on earth. And so or so time exists only here. Means of transportation from one place to another are needed only on earth. In fact, when you read your Bible very well, you can identify five kinds of languages:
1. The language of God: When God speaks, He does so with absolute
authority and with power. He also speak with absolute glory.
When He speaks, He speaks with absolute might and He speaks with faith
and love.
2. The language of angels: When an angel is talking, his words are filled with
delegated power from God. For example, Angel Gabriel stood and said
authoritatively, “I am Gabriel standing by the altar of God. I have been sent
to deliver this message.” Angels have no time to waste words. They are
specific and direct, and their words are filled with absolute obedience and
commitment to God. Read your Bible very well and you will find that,
those who asked angels for their names never got an answer.
3. The language of the natural man: The language of the natural man is
filled with death, sickness, doubt, poverty, hopelessness, fear, confusion,
chronic unbelief, hatred, envy and negativity. Sin is the language of the
natural man.
4. The language of spirit-filled believers: The language of spirit-filled
believers is filled with God, faith, power, authority, love and holiness.
5. The language of the devil: The language of the devil is filled with lies,
deception, woe and destruction. Death is a word from the bottom of hell  

fire.
It is only in the vocabulary of man that you find words like impossibility, failure or death. In fact, somebody told Jesus that somebody was dead and Jesus said that the person was sleeping. It is in the vocabulary of man that you find poverty, bad luck and defeat. This is why we must re-adjust our vocabulary. Many of us have been naturally programmed to speak the language of the natural man and the devil. The more we speak this, the more unfavourable the situation becomes.
Examine what you say in the light of the scripture. The language of God is the language we should be speaking and not the language of the devil. However, we speak the language of defeat, because of anxiety spirits.

ANXIETY SPIRITS
Anxiety spirits are very dangerous spirits. Jesus spent time explaining why we should not give them a room. Why are these spirits dangerous? It is because a 100 years of worry will not pay one kobo debt that you owe. Your crying everyday, because things are not moving well will not move those things; because crying out of worry does not move God. Worry will not remove the problem of tomorrow; it will only empty your strength for today. That is why Jesus said, “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Do not carry it to the next day. When tomorrow’s burden is added to that of today, it becomes a very heavy load. And, when a person becomes very loaded, he starts forgetting God and God would become a spectator. Then, small problems would look big.

ADVANCE INTEREST
Worry is the interest you pay in advance, before the interest is due. Worry will keep a person very busy, but it will not get him anywhere. Those living in worry invite quick death. Worry sends more people to the hospital, than all the sicknesses that can be mentioned. Worry kills more people than hard work. A closer look at the origin of the word ‘worry’ reveals some interesting truths. One source says that it is a division of the mind. Another source says that the word means to strangle or to choke and these are the things that worry does. Worry is very sinful. It is the producer of fear. It is a disease and if a person has it, all other problems come in. A person who is worrying is borrowing a problem that  

cannot be paid back.
Worry is a grave digger. It has no sympathy. It kills prematurely and makes people to commit suicide. So, it is a terrible and clever spirit. For example, as you are reading this book, you may be worried, but you do not know. You may be smiling, but you are worrying inside. It is not like the sin of adultery, fornication or stealing, which you can easily know. Worry and anxiety spirits work quietly like termites eating away men’s souls. It anticipates the trouble, which may not really come. For example, when an employer says that he is going to lay off some of his workers, immediately something would grip the hearts of the worrisome ones who would assume that their names would be included. When eventually, the list is out and their names are not there, all the period they have worried themselves would have been a period of exercise in foolishness, because worry is a very foolish activity.

THE ORPHAN
A person who worries lives like an orphan, without a heavenly Father. If you have a heavenly Father and you know that all things belong to Him, you will not bother yourself at all about anything.
Worry is a disgrace to God and a wasted time and effort. It does a lot of havoc to people’s minds. It is a very clever spirit, which moves along with a junior brother called fear. Immediately worry comes in, fear is standing at the door and when the two move in, Mr. Discouragement will also move in and the victim would be finished.
As you are now, you are a whole entity by yourself. Individually, you are a kingdom. You are a house. You are a spirit. You are living in a body and you have a soul. But the real you, whatever your name is called, is your spirit. Your soul and body are your tools for functioning as a human being on earth. As a christian, when you die, your physical body will be discarded and replaced by the resurrection body of Jesus. The soul and the spirit man, either go to heaven or hell fire, because the spirit and soul go together. God’s proper order is that your body should be in submission to your soul and your soul should be in submission to your spirit, then the whole man should be in submission to God. However, when worry steps in, it creates disorder and the mind will be jumping from one place to another. A person who is trying to pray and at the same time is  

thinking about how bad the situation is, can never be fervent in prayer. This is the most terrible thing about worry. It drinks the blood of fervent prayer. This is why we must really deal with It.

A TEST
At a particular psychiatric hospital, before a patient is discharged, a small test is carried out on him. They would push the patient into a room, open a tap and give him a mop. If he goes to the tap and closes it, they would know that he is well. But, 90 percent of the patients do not close the tap. They continue to mop the water, while the tap is left open, and some continue like that, until they collapse out of exhaustion. Many people are like that.
They take the mop of crying, grumbling, fighting, shouting, drinking, dancing, socialising or music, while the tap of anxiety is still open.
What we need to do is to bind and cast out anxiety spirits. When they are in control of a person, the person may be feeling headache and may take all kinds of drugs, but the headache will not go. Anxiety spirits also cause pain in the neck, restlessness, etc.
A man prayed to God for blessing and God blessed him so much that he had ten vehicles for transport business. Every night, he was at the gate watching them coming in one after the other. If any one took time in coming, he would start pacing up and down worrying about what might have happened to it. He would be afraid that it might have been involved in an accident or that the police might have arrested its driver. In this way, he doubted the power of God who had blessed him.
When something bad happens, some people would first of all transfer it to themselves. It is the work of anxiety demons. When some people are troubled you can see their hands trembling. They cannot hold anything or see clearly. When some people are attacked by anxiety demons, they feel tired. You know that you are not tired, but something is telling you that you are tired, it is an anxiety demon at work. Sometimes, the attack results in dryness of the mouth or loss of appetite. This demon can also cause some people to have diarrhea. You may think that what you have is a big problem, bur perhaps, all you need do is to go and close the tap, instead of using the mop and running all over the place. All  

the light-headedness and uneasy feeling are the handiwork of the demon of anxiety. Intense or irrational fear and emotional stress are also evidence that a demon of anxiety is at work.

CAST YOUR CARES ON HIM
A sister complained that all the seven men, who proposed marriage to her disappointed her and she drew the conclusion that all men were wicked. When the eighth man came, she said, “This one may probably behave like the rest so I will place him on trial.” The man said that he did not want to be placed on trial. What happened was that anxiety demons have taken over. These clever spirits come in, when miracles are piled up and very slowly and gently leak them out. You really need to deal with them.
The Lord has a lot to do for you, if you would cast all your cares on Jesus and Stop carrying them by yourself. Release everything into His holy hands, then pray your normal prayers and read your Bible. You will be shocked at what the Lord will do for you. Many people need deliverance from these spirits. Sometimes, when these spirits have entered into a life, hypertension, diabetes and all kinds of things come in. But, once you close the tap and say, “Look, Satan, I am not going to worry my brain about anything, because the Bible says, “Be careful for nothing,” you will be released.
Some people constantly feel that something bad is going to happen to them. I saw somebody going from place to place in search of help, because he honestly believed that he had HIV He went for a test and it was negative. He came back and said, “No, I must go to another place.” I asked him why he was doing that and he said, “It is because I read a book on it and everything they say in the book that would happen is happening to me.” That was anxiety demon at work. A lot of people fear for their safety, their family, their friends or fear for losing control of their affairs. Some are highly irritable; if any small thing happens to them they would explode. They get easily frustrated. They find it difficult to sleep and when they wake up, they are unable to sleep again or they are frightened in their dreams. Some exercise the fear of going mad. All these are anxiety demons at work.
Some are worried that they may not find a husband, when they find a husband, they are worried that he will run away. Some are worried that they do not have  

money. When they have money, they are afraid that it will be stolen. Some are praying that God may send them abroad and when God is sending them abroad, they would be shaking inside the plane. They are afraid that the plane may crash land. That is anxiety spirit at work. It is the elder brother of fear and discouragement is close to it.

THE WAY OUT
The important thing to do is to repent. Worry is a sin. Ask the Lord to forgive you.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Every evil power that anxiety has introduced into my life, come out now, in
the name of Jesus.
2. You demon of fear, come out with your entire root, in the name of Jesus
3. I return every witchcraft curse back to the sender, in the name of Jesus
4. The enemy will not drag my life on the ground, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every fear of financial failure, vanish, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every satanic load in my spirit, go back to your sender, in the name of
Jesus.
7. Every body of water harbouring my blessings, release them now, in the
name of Jesus.
8. Every witchcraft operation against my prosperity, be dismantled by fire, in
the name of Jesus.
9. Every satanic prayer issued against me, be nullified, in the name of Jesus.
10. You my business, multiply, in the name of Jesus.
11. O Lord, let no man prevail against me, in the name of Jesus.
12. I bind every spirit of anxiety and I cast it out, in the name of Jesus.
13. (Lay your hand on your chest): Every internal cage, be broken to pieces, in
the name of Jesus.  
 

Before we go into this chapter, I want you to pray like this:
“Every enemy of my increase, scatter by fire, in the name of Jesus.”
Beloved, because the Lord is already touching you as you read this message,
whatever says you will not improve, whatever says you will not go up, whatever says you will not have divine acceleration, whatever says you will not be enlarged, must die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
The Bible says,
“I will bring honey out of the rock. I will bring oil out of the stone.”
We know that a Stone cannot produce oil, neither can honey come Out of a rock. Those are impossible things. What the Bible is saying is, that no matter how hash the economy is, no matter how terrible the situation is, the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is able to squeeze our your breakthrough for you. This is why you should raise your voice and repeat that prayer: “Every enemy of my increase, what are you waiting for? Die, in the name of Jesus.”
I Samuel 2:9:
“He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in
darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.”

Our message is entitled, ”By Strength Shall No Man Prevail.” Let us also look at two supporting scriptures:
Ecclesiastes 9:11:
“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor
the battle to the strong, neither bread yet to the wise, nor yet riches to men
of understandings, nor yet favour to the men of skill, hut time and chance
happeneth to them all.”
David said to Goliath in I Samuel 17:47: “And all this assembly shall know
that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s,
and he will give you into our hands”.

What was David telling Goliath? He was telling him that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the strong and that by strength shall no man prevail.
The above scriptures tell us certain things.  

Promotion does not necessarily go to those that are worthy. They tell us that a lot of people can reap what they did not sow. They tell us that advancement does not necessarily go to those that work the hardest. It is not that we should no, work hard. They tell us that natural gifts by themselves are not enough to handle the battles of life. Natural abilities or talents are not enough for a successful life. They are telling us that skill and intelligence do not necessarily give progress; the swiftest and the strongest do not necessarily make progress. The battle is not, for the strong and by strength shall no man prevail. There are wise people who are hungry. There are intelligent people who go unprepared. In many contests, the best candidates do not necessarily win. Being smart or talented is not a guarantee that you will succeed. People say heaven helps those who help themselves. Heaven helps those who agree with Jesus, that they cannot help themselves and they want Jesus to help them.

THE CONFLICT
Pharaoh had a very large army and was very comfortable. He had reasoned that with the kind of army he had, pursuing the people of Israel, who had no weapons, would be very easy for him.
But, he got to the Red Sea to find out that the battle was not for the strong and the race not for the swift and that by strength should no man prevail.
Goliath was a very strong foe. He cursed the people of God for 40 days. He was a formidable foe, but there were certain things he did not understand, until he landed in hell fire. Gideon’s army started with 32,000. Eventually, God pruned them down to 300. Why? The battle is not for the strong, the race is not for the swift, and by strength shall no man prevail.
If they say, “Get on your marks and go,” and you jump forward and begin to run, it does not mean that you will win. Moses was 40 years old when he tried to help God, by using physical strength to kill an Egyptian. He learnt the hard way that he could not do anything in his power. He had to go to a training school for 40 years. He learnt there that by strength should no man prevail. When the same Moses came back with the rod of God in his hand, there was nothing in that rod. God just wanted to use it to disgrace the enemy; he took over the whole of the land of Egypt from Pharaoh.  

Close your eyes and say:
“I hold the rod of God in my hands. I smash the head of every oppressor, in Jesus’ name.”
“O God, arise and place the head of my Goliath in my hands, in the name of Jesus.”
“Let my stone locate the unprotected forehead of my Goliath, in Jesus’ name.”
Psalm 118:10:
“All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I
destroy them. They compassed me about; yea they compassed me about:
but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. They compassed me about
like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the
Lord. I will destroy them.”

It is only in the name of the Lord that you can operate, for by strength shall no man prevail.

POWER ENCOUNTER
One gentle and obedient sister got married in a Pentecostal church. This was a holiness-preaching church. All of a sudden, she found that her husband began to backslide. During prayer meetings, he would not pray and the woman was worried. She said, “But brother, you should pray now.” He said, “If you keep insisting that I should pray, I will not pray together with you again.” Then the sister kept quiet. One day, he told her that he would be having a visitor that night and she should prepare food for the visitor. The sister did not think much about it. She prepared food. By 1 a.m., the visitor came In. It was a woman dressed like Jezebel. He said, “Darting give your visitor food.” The sister said, “Well, although I feel like breaking the head of this woman with a bottle, I will not do it. If I did that, they would say that I am not broken.” So she served the food. The woman ate and went into the bedroom with her husband. The sister tried to pray, but the prayer did not flow. Her legs were shaking.
In the morning she accused her husband: “What is the meaning of this?” The man said, “Listen, as from now on, this is just a question of style. If you are not happy with that style, there is only one solution, pack your things and go.” Two  

nights later, he brought another woman and asked his wife to prepare food for her and she did. After some time, the man said, “All right, I am even fed up with you. Get out!” The woman said, “I can’t leave, we built this place together.” The man then brought in a herbalist to chase her out and also brought in a strange woman.
So, there was a herbalist and a strange woman in her home. A very strange combination. It was going on like this and the woman was losing weight. She told her parents and they said, “Did we not tell you not to marry him and you said he was born again, sanctified and spirit-filled?” She came to one of our anointing services and when she got home, she waited for all of them to vacate from the bedroom and anointed the bed and went to sleep that night. When her husband came back from roaming around the streets, the strange woman was not in the room. He went into the herbalist’s room and found out that the herbalist and the strange woman were committing fornication. He was very angry. He gave the strange woman a terrible slap. She slapped him back and a fight ensued. The strange woman and the herbalist joined hands and started beating him. When the beating became too much for him he started calling on his wife, whom he had not spoken to for two years, to come and help him.
And she came to rescue him from the hands of those who wanted to kill him in his own house. Of course, that was the end of the problem. The man started staying at home and going to church, and the marital problem came to an end.

A PARABLE
By strength shall no man prevail. Arguments by the couple did not solve the problem. Their meetings failed to resolve it. Threats of “I will divorce you, I will carry away all the children,” could not solve the problem. But one drop of anointing oil on the bed broke the backbone of the enemy. I pray that the backbone of your enemy shall break as you read this message, in Jesus’ name.
Let me tell you a parable: One day, a goat was stuck in the bush between two trees and it cried, ”Let somebody help me!” And someone came and said, ”I will help you, I will set you free.”
The goat now said, “Before you set me free, please tell me: will it hurt me? How long will it take? How hard are you going to pull my neck? How much will I  

pay? Have you pulled out somebody like this before? Do you know the right tools to use? Have you graduated from the school of animal release? When you free me, will I owe you a favour? What will the favour be? Okay, would you promise not to damage the tree, but just to remove my neck? Should I close my eyes or should I open it? Should I sit down or should I stand? Have you washed your hands? After freeing me can you guarantee that my neck will not get into this situation again? Tell me why you even want to free me. How are you going to do it? Tell me, when will you do it?” The goat was bombarding the man with lots of questions and the man was watching in amazement. It said, “Well, let me sit down here and continue to cry.”
That is the position of many people. They want to harass God with many questions. Somebody says, “I am the Almighty.” And they stand before Him and are preparing thesis on their problems. They are describing a mountain to God, who can speak to the mountain and it will flee. They are crying, when they should address the issue.
The Bible says, that at the pool of Bethesida there was a multitude of the lame, the blind, the deaf, etc. Jesus, who sent the angel to trouble the water personally, went there, but the people around did not recognise Him. He went to one person and asked him a simple and direct question: “Will thou be made whole?” The answer to that question would have been Yes or No. But the man said, “I have nobody to put me inside the water. I have been here for 38 years.” He had been trying in his own power to receive healing. He did not know that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, and that by strength shall no man prevail.
When you carefully study the world of God, you will begin to understand certain things. The Bible says, “Ye shall be the head and not the tail.” The fact that the Bible says that there is a department called the head and there is a department called the tail means that people are already in either of these two departments. To move from the tail to the head, the race is not for the swift, the battle is not for the strong and by strength shall no man prevail. Those who are struggling with their power had better drop it and go to the One, who is able to defend them.

WHAT IS THE TAIL?  

It is the backside. It is the last and the lowest part of anything. It is that side of the coin, which does not bear the head of a ruler. Some people are already candidates of the tail region. When something is about to get to your turn and they say it has finished, you are a victim of the spirit of the tail. If it is only in your room at hail that some candidates would cheat and the examination would be cancelled, or if you are always in the wrong setting or in the wrong class, the spirit of the tail is at work. When stubborn household wickedness is openly pursuing you, the spirit of the tail is at work.
I want you to know, beloved, that when a person has been confined to the tail, spiritually, he is Mr. Tail. Therefore, it does not matter which exams he takes or which connections he has at the top. With his connections he will still remain at the tail. Give him N100 million; he will not know what he does with it, because he is still in the cage of the tail. The Bible says,
Deut28:13:
“And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt
be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto
the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day,
to observe and to do them:”

Those two departments are crystal clear in life. This promise can be seen in the lives of the Israelites today. Although, Israel is surrounded by about 110 million people and its population is 3 to 4 million, the enemies could not destroy it.
The fact that the Bible says there is the head or tail, above or beneath, shows that somebody must occupy these positions. Somebody like me decided a long time ago that I do not want to belong to the tail, that my lot is not in the tail region, in the name of Jesus. What are we saying? That as a child of God, that is if you are a child of God, God has planted something in you to make you great. God has planted something in you that will take you to the head department. Some never discovered this at all.
That is why the worst place to go is the burial ground. There, you see a lot of unfulfilled dreams and dead visions. There, you will see men who had dreams of what they wanted to do, but they were buried with those dreams.
Our generation did not benefit from what they wanted to do, because they had been buried with them. That is why one of the most solemn places on earth  

where you do not have to tell people to stop making noise is the cemetery. It is also one of the best preaching pulpits. Some people never discovered the Moses that God had planted in their lives. Some have been blinded completely to it. Some have been sent on a diversion. They are pursuing A when they should be in Z. Others have killed the Moses that God gave to them. Some have sold their Moses off. Some lost their Moses in the university, while they were busy sampling girls who were marine agents.

THE MESSAGE
There were many prophets, when Jeremiah was prophesying. The message of Jeremiah was the only one that was different. He was saying, “There was no peace, there were problems here.” But, all other prophets were saying, “There is peace.” They even threw Jeremiah into a dungeon. Today, we do not even know the names of those prophets in our Bible, but we are reading about Jeremiah. “The race is not to the swift, the battle is not to the strong and by strength shall no man prevail.”
Some people’s potentials are in their hands. Some in their feet; some in their memory. Wherein Lies the Moses that God gave to you? If you do not know, it means that you do not know what God has planted into your life to make you the head. If you are in the tail department now, you must move away from there. You shall be the head and not the tail, you shall be above and never beneath. The authority of the scriptures means all believers are meant to be at the top wherever they are. They are supposed to be the most influential wherever they are. If we just sit down and say, ‘Well, one day, I will get there,” and you refuse to remove yourself and get delivered from the tail, or you are struggling, using your own power, you will remain where you are. You will be like the drunken man that took a boat after getting drunk and began to row the boat. He rowed for 12 hours and said, “When am I going to get home?” When it was daylight, somebody said, “Oga, you have not removed the rope you used to tie the boat on the bank and you say you want to move, remove the rope.” He was drunk. A lot of people are rowing the boat of their life, when it is being tied by household wickedness and they have not cut it off from their hands. “You shall be the head and not the tail.”
I have seen many things in my life. I have seen somebody without two legs and  

he is alive. I found someone without two hands, without both legs and he is alive. But, I am yet to see somebody without a head who is alive. Therefore, God said, “You shall be the head and not the tail.” It is in the head that you find the teeth, a defensive weapon. But, the tail is closer to the anus closer to feaces. It has no defense, no teeth. The tail can be cut off, without any serious consequence. This is why some people have been removed from their jobs and no one regretted it. It is high time for you to rise up from your sleep and take your rightful position.

THE WEALTH
The wealth of the Gentiles cannot come to us, when most believers are at the tail position. We must cry to the Lord today, to get ourselves delivered from every spiritual cage of the tail. If you look at your life as you are reading this message and you find out that you are under serious bombardment of household wickedness, it will put you in the tail region, unless you do something. If you look at your life today and it appears, as if you are in the wrong location, because a fish cannot receive blessings outside the water, a tomato fruit cannot prosper on top of a mango tree, then you have to rise up. There will be no prosperity when you are doing something the Lord does not want you to do. You may hold a degree, but the Lord would ask you to go and start selling fish. You may hold a Ph.D. and the Lord would say, “Go into poultry.” I know many medical doctors who are not practicing their professions today. You must ask yourself these questions, “Am I doing what God wants me to be doing? Am I a medical doctor because my parents wanted me to become a doctor?” Are you what God wants you to be?
Your parents insisted that you must be an engineer, but in school you cannot cope with mathematical calculations. Then, you begin to devise methods of how to cheat in examinations. Or, you cannot cheat and you will say lecturer, “I will come and greet you at night.” Or, you sell your bodies to pass your exams. By this you go deeper and deeper into the tail region. Perhaps, you look at yourself and find that all your friends are not serious, they are people who want to pull you down. You had better leave them. Or, perhaps you notice that there are emptiers working against you, they do not disturb you from working, they just empty what you have. A lot of young girls have their virtues already transferred to sugar daddies. Many poor men become rich by committing immorality with  

women who have good virtues. Perhaps, you have noticed that people have issued curses on you and you are looking at yourself and those curses are happening. The curses are causing problems for you; you have to do something about it. Perhaps, you look at yourself and find that you are always in the midst of criticisms in anything you do. You should pray yourself out of that cage today. Perhaps, you notice that when you have good things to do something will just go wrong. There is a system that wants to keep you permanently where you are. If some people tell you how much money they have handled in their lives and how they have nothing now, you will be amazed. It is the spirit of the tail. The race is not for the swift; the battle is not for the strong and by strength shall no man prevail.

A RIDDLE
Enrich a man who is at the tail, as long as he is still in that place he will surely return to poverty. Elevate him; he will be disgraced out of office. Push her to a place she can find a good husband, she will bite the man and fight her way out, because of that thing working against her.
I want you to look at yourself very well, how has life been treating you, the opportunities the enemy has stolen from you, the positions you ought to have attained and for some reasons you are not there. Look at your family, those members that are your senior; their achievements and what they have done.
Look at the siren being blown against you everyday. You know that within you there is a power to be a winner, an over comer, but somehow with all the talents, it appears, as if you are not moving forward. Whenever you want to move, something goes wrong and takes away your time, money etc.
The prayer points you are going to pray need what I call holy desperation. When you go into holy desperation, progress starts. It was when Jacob got desperate that progress started. It was when blind Bartimeaus got desperate that progress started. This message is for champions and not for those who want to remain in their tail department. It is for those who want to receive expected and unexpected breakthroughs.
Please, I want you to pray these prayer points, so that by the time you finish there will be divine re-arrangement and if you are supposed to be in a particular  

position and the children of darkness gather together, because they have connection and push somebody above you, you will pull them back.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Every spirit of the tail, what are you doing in my life? I bind you, in Jesus’
name.
2. My destiny, come alive by fire, in Jesus’ name.
3. Every cage of the tail, break, in Jesus’ name.
4. Every witchcraft cauldron, break, in Jesus’ name.
5. My father, if I am in the wrong position, change me now, in Jesus’ name.
6. I claim divine re-arrangement by fire, in Jesus’ name.
7. The power that moved Moses forward in the Red Sea, move me forward by
fire, in Jesus’ name.
8. Sing these songs to thank the Lord: “There is no mountain that we cannot
climb.  
 

Matt. 9:27-30:
“And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying,
and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come
into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them,
BELIEVE YE THAT I AM ABLE TO DO THIS? They said unto him,
Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be
it unto you. And their eyes were opened….”

In any dish, one ingredient that is never left out on at least 90% of the time is salt. Without salt, the food will not be appealing and it will probably taste like ‘scraps’.
James 1:7-8
“For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A
double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Prayer is one of the most interesting conversations you can hold. It is the conversation between you and God. This conversation is even sweeter than talking to your fiancée/ fiancé, especially when you are getting replies from heaven. It is also very important to put this conversation with God at the top, make it your priority. You may say. “but I love my wife or I love my fiancé/fiancée”. I am not saying you should not love them; I know you love her/him so much…. 🙂 but if you put them ahead of God, you open the door for Satan to “pour sand inside your gari (fermented cassava flakes)”. In fact, if you have prayed, and you are sure that God has given you a go ahead in your relationship, make it a 3-way conversation whenever you see each other or talk: that is, you, her/him and God Almighty. The couple that prays together stays together. Let me lay emphasis on the fact that I am not saying you should pray throughout your discussion. That is a sermon for those who are in a godly relationship. Now let me go back to my topic.
The Bible says,
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest”

(Matt. 11 :28) Jesus said you should come, BUT know for sure that if you are unstable and you lack adequate faith, you will not get anything. Of course, God  

can do anything He wants to do, not caring if you believe or not, just to strengthen your faith. The problem is, the devil knows the Bible very well and he can go and stand before God and say, “Lord, you cannot give this person this thing, because he does not believe. And your Word says, the unstable man shall receive nothing” then you succeed in limiting yourself.
Matt. 17:14-20:
“And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain
man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for
he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for of times he falleth into the fire, and oft
into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure
him. Then Jesus answered and said, O FAITHLESS and perverse
generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you?
(So if you are a true Christian and you lack faith or you are still a
doubting Thomas, know for sure that Jesus is not happy with that lack)
bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out
of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the
disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And
Jesus said unto them, BECAUSE OF YOUR UNBELIEF: for verily I say
unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this
mountain, (that is, your problems or limitations) Remove hence to yonder
place; and it shall remove; and NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE
UNTO YOU.”

Beloveth, you can limit God and tie His hands with the rope of unbelief. Many people did not get what they were supposed to get last year simply because they lacked faith in the power of God. You need to develop violent faith in the power of God and know that He is the LORD OF ALL. You slept last night and you are awake now, that is why you are reading this note. That is enough proof that God is powerful and He is the KING of kings. You need to remove the garment of doubt and unbelief from your life, because after you have prayed, faith is the bus that travels to heaven and brings down your blessings. You will be doing yourself plenty of harm by accomodating the spirit of unbelief.
There are some faith killing sermons you must not preach to your destiny:
1. “Seeing is believing”: That quote is a killer, as far as God is concerned.
“NOW FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of  

things NOT SEEN.” (Heb. 11:1) Thomas gave himself unnecessary
hypertension, because he was waiting to see Jesus and deep his finger into
the holes in His hands, before believing anything.
2. “Too late”: Those of you who are thinking like this, I have just one
question for you: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Gen.18:14) Do nor
bother to answer; I will also answer the question.
“Ah Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy
great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee”
(Jer. 32:17).

It does not matter what you are going through now. It does not matter how old you are. The depth of your mistakes holds no ground. Be certain in your spirit and believe that God can rearrange your life and give you a fresh start.
3. “Others did it, but failed”: The fact that others did it and failed does not
mean you too will fail.
“To Him who ALONE doeth great wonders: for His MERCY endureth
forever. “(Ps. 136:4)

No wonder those people were always saying, “Lord have mercy on me.” They knew that His mercy brings great wonders.
Even though others have failed, if you believe in God’s life changing power, He will make you a wonder and a pioneer of success. Replace this killer sermon with what is written in
Isaiah 8:18:

“Behold, I (put your name there) whom the Lord hath created, I’m for signs and wonders! In the name of Jesus” (paraphrased)

4. “I am afraid”: The first demon the devil sends out to open the ground for
attack is ‘fear’. When Mr. Fear successfully enters, he will now open the door
for Mr. Discouragement, Mr. Depression, and finally Mr. Give up, then the
devil will now throw a massive party in hell fire and what you were
supposed to get will be lost. Replace this killer sermon with,
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,
and of a sound mind.”(2 Tim.1:7)  

5. “What if?”: “What if?” is a terrible agent and it is very common in the
lives of many people. After serious prayers, it will just show up and say,
“ehmm, what if you do not get what you are praying for? What if you fail?
What if ‘Oga’ refuses to give you the money? What if you do not pass the
exam? Agent “what if?” is dangerous, because he will wait for you to almost
get there before he shows up. He waited for Peter to begin his journey on the
water, but when Peter almost got there, “what if?” showed up and Peter
almost drowned.
Brothers and Sisters,
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye BELIEVE in God, believe also in
Jesus.” (John 14:1)

However, if you have nor yet given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, you are not born again, there is no way Jesus can do anything for you.
You have an opportunity now! All you need do is acknowledge the fact that you are a sinner and that you cannot approach God in your sinful state. Confess your sins to the Lord; name them one by one and ask Him to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Invite the Lord Jesus Christ into your life and ask Him to become your personal Lord and Saviour. Ask Him to take a total control of your life and everything that concerns you. Tell Him that you will never go back to the world of sin and Satan again. I congratulate you for this decision that you have taken. It is the most important decision in life and I pray that it shall be permanent in your life, in the name of Jesus. I pray that your name will be written in the Book of Life and nothing shall by any means rub it off, in Jesus name. GO AND SIN NO MORE!

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father Lord, let Christ dwell in my heart by faith, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father Lord, let me be rooted and grounded in love, in Jesus’ name.
3. Lord, let me be filled with all fullness of God.
4. God, help me comprehend the breadth, length, depth and height of the love
of Christ, in the name of Jesus
5. Let the word of the Lord have free course and be glorified in me, in the
name of Jesus.  

6. Let the Lord of peace give me peace in all areas of my life, in the name of
Jesus.
7. Let utterance be given unto me to make known the mystery of the gospel, in
the name of Jesus.
a. Lord, perfect what is lacking in my faith.
b. Lord, perfect Your good work in me.
c. Lord, make me perfect unto Your good work.
d. Lord, enrich me in all utterance and knowledge.
8. Let the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with me, in Jesus’ name.
9. Father Lord, inject into me your spiritual vitamins, that will make me
spiritually healthy, in the name of Jesus.
10. Father Lord, inject into me spiritual vitamins, that will boost my appetite to
eat Your word, in the name of Jesus.
11. Father Lord, infuse into my blood, spiritual vitamins that will produce
hunger and thirst for prayers, in the name of Jesus.
