for a moment I was thinking it was about the BOB guy – can demons enter a Christian? Ricky Grimsley John Ruffle John Conger http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/can-a-christian-have-a-demon/
John Conger [11/13/2015 8:21 AM]
I don’t believe so
John Kissinger [11/13/2015 8:21 AM]
did you believe so when you used to be a preacher?
Tom Steele [11/13/2015 8:24 AM]
I read an article years ago about “Can A Christian Have A Demon?” and this preacher was claiming that Christians can have a demon in their big toe, as an example. OK, that was one of the more bizarre statements in the article, but I did preach against it while I was still in College studying Evangelism. These kind of people always end up surfacing from time to time.
John Conger [11/13/2015 8:24 AM]
No I never subscribed to that.

and you may have misread JOHN ECKHARDT: “When I looked up “possess” in the dictionary, I discovered that one definition of the word is “to occupy.” My contention is that if a demon occupies your big toe, he possesses that part of you. It doesn’t mean he possesses your spirit, soul and body. But if he occupies even a small portion, such as a physical organ in your body–as a spirit of infirmity does–then there is possession to some degree.” http://www.charismamag.com/spirit/spiritual-growth/846-can-a-christian-have-a-demon

It’s possible, the name rings a bell and, like I said, that was more than a decade ago. I just remember reading that part of the article and finding it a little out there. Your explanation does make a little bit of sense. At the same time, however, how can someone truly be filled with the Holy Ghost and the Power of God and simultaneously have even a small part of their body possessed by a devil? I believe we can be under attack… oppressed… by a devil as a Christian, but to have a devil actually taking possession of any part of our body while filled with God’s Spirit, I have some issue with that. Since there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer in the Bible on the issue, I think there is room for mild disagreement on this one.
