Troy those folks were not representative of the Jesus people who were born again. The born again were discipled by the word of God and avoided the desires of the flesh. Dave was right, but that crowd are not good examples of the ones who were saved and set apart.

and yet some of these “Jesus people” are loving pastors today . and have been faithful to the call of God and servants of Jesus Christ for many years . It’s a real shame that these opportunities to honor God’s work are so easily squandered for armchair quarterbacks and irrelevant opionated and empty suits .

Joseph D. Absher Joseph I was alluding to those who said it was ok to take drugs as a christian.. They needed to die to self and deny themselves. Yes many of the Jesus people are still growing and serving the Lord. You just can’t serve two masters the flesh and the Lord. Joseph what do you say about dropping acid and smoking pot as a Christian?

Jesus redeemed me and broke my bad habits when I was saved. I have been clean for over 50 years and never desired any of that stuff. He healed me of drugs and alcohol and has set me free. I never think of that stuff and there is no reason to.

Jesus gave the conditions to be His disciple and He gives us the grace to do it Matt 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.– That cross means dying to self. Jesus gave me HIs joy why would I even think about anything else.

I’m sorry but you just don’t have any capital to spend . You either want something from someone or knocking what somebody else is doing . Why don’t you start offering something meaningful instead of just riding somebody else’s work

Joseph D. Absher and you are stuck on going out for a few hours like you have a big time ministry. Actually you are still vengeful because I corrected you earlier. You have unforgiveness and you need to go to jesus and stop playing like you are a big time Christian minister when you are just full of hate and so the love of God is not in you. Repent of your ego and unforgiveness before it is too late. Go to Jesus Joseph and he will give you the grace to get over your bitterness.
