It was hard for me to take. I didn’t even like the idea of having a “quiet time.” I wanted a loud time. I heard best from God listen to Jesus Freak by DC Talk on full blast on the stereo. I knew that God loves to talk and He likes to roar. A lion is not quiet last I checked.

Contemplative prayer is powerful… It’s also not biblical and has nothing to do with a genuine move of the Holy Spirit in a believers life. Sound doctrine is important and the word of God is the SOLE authority for belief and conduct. http://christianresearchnetwork.org/topic/contemplative-prayer/

Church history would disagree. I do not practice it for the reason I said but I see its’ value.
