| PentecostalTheology.comPut in a little work for Jesus after work today. Rush hour. Some good conversations. Some genuine connections. It was fun. Talking to the many souls passing by. Young and old. The nice people and the hard living ones. Families and folks coming from work. Yelling a few strong verses. Across traffic and into the hearts of men. Scattering the good word of God.
La palabra de Dios es fuerte.
De nambre de Jesus es mercicordia.
I wasn’t there long before a African American sister took up the cause. She heard John 3:16 and She started shouting and dancing. All I did was feed her some one liners. “Jesus takes away sins. His grace is sufficient. Jesus breaks the chains if addiction.” Then she’d shout at the passers by, “Jesus is coming! Get your heart right!” Such Joy. It was very effective. Lots of foot traffic too. Hundreds heard the name of Jesus with faith and rejoicing and mercy. Her bus came and off she went. Happy. She said her name was Shirley. as she was leaving I kept saying. “Surely he will bless you. Surely he will deliver you. Surely he will raise you up!”
Then it started raining. I was thinking rain never stopped you from going to the liquor store. I was tired but that never stopped me either. So what.
When I think about this stuff it’s really warms my heart. I mean, i just tell people what Jesus did for me. How I owe him that much. Sometimes it’s deeper. So there’s the occasional hater and scoffer. I tell them about the cross and sin and the power in Jesus name. it’s the least I can do. They seem to understand. I told the lady today. I know shame and this ain’t it.

Jesus would be talking in KJ like Daniel J Hesse 🙂
Daniel J Hesse
Thou believest of thy truth. He spoketh thus.
Daniel J Hesse
Actually, God spoke Hebrew according to the TV rabbi.
Joe Absher
Jesus can say more with a look than you and your whole library.

A.J. Bible thinks JESUS speaks with tattoos http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/is-it-biblical-for-christians-to-get-tattoos/
Ricky Grimsley
King James onlyism in nonsense. I should know I used to be one.

Ricky Grimsley obviously you did not even open the article or you woudl have known the write up has nothing to do with KJV
Joe Absher
You guys are way over my head. Does Jesus still give gut checks up there. About the only he tells me is have courage. I’d rather have grace. at least grace ain’t to hard to understand. Jesus can break it down real good. If you wait…
Daniel J Hesse
Is it possible the speaking may be the quickening of His Word to our hearts?
Joe Absher
Yes most certainly. Nothing better when a scripture comes alive. Or when we are challenged or convicted or given the grace and strength and comfort we need. This one of my favorites scriptures,
Romans 15:4 KJV — For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”
Joe Absher
Ricky Grimsley I was reading the story of the woman caught in adultery this morning. I got to the part says they were “convicted” so I looked it up. KJV and NKJV were the only two that had it. I don’t fault anyone for reading the Bible in way they can understand it. I’m not KJV only. But that’s a significant difference.
John 8:9 KJV — And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Ricky Grimsley
Well some scholarship suggests that the story wasn’t in the original manuscripts.
Joe Absher
But John was there they wasn’t lol
