| PentecostalTheology.comDoes the concept of holiness hold any relevance for Christians in the twenty-first century? Or is it rather a relic of the past, with nothing to offer in today’s postmodern world?
Charles Page [01/17/2016 8:36 PM]
perhaps the Anabaptist, Amish and Mennonites, are doing a better job addressing holiness than the traditional Wesleyans are doing.

Hebrews 12:14 KJVS
[14] Follow peace with all men , and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Charles Page you seem to equate all holiness to a dress code, which is rightfully called by Peter A Vandever legalism
Jimmy Humphrey [01/17/2016 8:45 PM]
People prefer to dream big these days, and become a better you

SALVATION & HEALING BUT WHERE’S THE SANCTIFICATION & DELIVERANCE MINISTRY? http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/salvation-healing-but-wheres-the-sanctification-deliverance-ministry/

Charles Page: I fail to understand how you can ask such a question, due to the fundamental status of holiness to our outworked Christian faith. The answer is obvious and should be taken as a given, (unless of course any here wish to start a heretical sect, that is).
Melvin Harter [01/17/2016 10:26 PM]
The definition of holiness. Holiness is the result of a sanctified life. If you are not sanctified, then you cannot live a life of holiness. If you have been sanctified, it will be manifested on the outward adornment. The Church of God for 100 years held to what was known as Practical Teachings. They held high standards of holiness and God greatly blessed the CoG. In our modern world, holiness standards have been done away with, but I must say that if you wish to go in the rapture, which is about to take place very soon, you had better be living a life of holiness or you will not make it.

Not just Holy but Holy, Holy, Holy!

Was it now? http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/was-the-church-predestined-for-salvation-or-holiness/ Charles Page Jimmy Humphrey I can always tell from your comments when you have eaten the Good Old Gospel Bird at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken 🙂 which bids you to talk holiness and sanctification
Derrick Harmon [01/18/2016 8:40 PM]
I would say that holiness is still important; we just have to make it culturally relevant again.
John Kissinger [01/18/2016 8:40 PM]
The PRACTICE of HOLINESS is above all COUNTER CULTURAL:
1. GOD is holy and He is coming for a HOLY and PURE CHURCH
2. Is HOLINESS even possible in this life time? – Wesley and the church fathers say: YES!
3. Is it mandatory after salvation? – The answer is: YES!
4. Is it instantaneous OR progressive – The answer is … YES! Timothy Carter http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/the-practice-of-holiness/

“I put no stock in religion. By the word religion I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the Will of God. I have seen too much religion in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness…” ~Kingdom of Heaven (2005)

We can’t blame religion because of those that are within it.
(That sounds like obama and him coming after guns for the across of a few radical folks.
Besides
James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
John Kissinger [01/21/2016 3:01 PM]
you’re right bro David I was just quoting the movie 🙂
