Angel Ruiz | PentecostalTheology.comIs this classic pentecostal or Neo Pentecostal?
John Kissinger [08/18/2015 1:31 PM]
Well, how do you feel about it? Timothy Carter
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 1:39 PM]
there is little difference.
Angel Ruiz [08/18/2015 1:45 PM]
Peter A Vandever it is a big difference…
The difference is so big that the Assemblies of God have put a out a statement saying that no Assemblies of God church should associate, connect with a neo Pentecostal church
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 1:46 PM]
AG condemns everyone too. All have sinned and fall short of the Assemblies of God.
In reality, our difference are very minor.
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:12 PM]
Sounds like angry former AG folks.
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:13 PM]
The group is moderated by those of the “classic” branch. Though it appears the tent is quite wide for those welcomed.
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 2:17 PM]
Rick Wadholm Jr, I still go to an AG church lol
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:18 PM]
Doesn’t mean one can’t be an angry former AGer.
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 2:19 PM]
I am not angry but I am not drinking the koolaid either.
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 2:20 PM]
and how can I be an AGer and also be a former AG lol
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:20 PM]
Your rhetoric suggests otherwise about the anger.
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:20 PM]
Attending and being are two different things.
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 2:21 PM]
I am a Republican but I distaste much of what is happening… the same is true with the AG. The non-sense out of Springfield is disheartening to say the least.
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:23 PM]
There is nonsense everywhere. But when a person only complains it comes across as angry or bitter.
John Kissinger [08/18/2015 2:23 PM]
Angel Ruiz where’s the said statement?
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 2:26 PM]
Rick Wadholm Jr even if I am angry (which I do believe I am) it is not a sin…. be angry but sin not 🙂
John Kissinger [08/18/2015 2:26 PM]
as Dr. Byron D. Klaus once put it “loyally critical” (or critically loyal)
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 2:28 PM]
I have zero loyalty to the AG… too much politics for me lol and most of the leaders dont even believe thier bs lol
John Kissinger [08/18/2015 2:28 PM]
well, in this case you are just plain critical
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:29 PM]
Sounds like anger…I’ll leave the Lord to deal with it if it’s also sin.
John Kissinger [08/18/2015 2:29 PM]
Does anger make a person neo-Pentecostal?
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:30 PM]
Only if they don’t require the initial evidence of tongues. ?
Herb Shanafelt [08/18/2015 2:34 PM]
HEY, Iam a Graduate from their Seminary, and one of their undergraduate with Two B.and an MDiv. From A.G.T.S. I at One time Ii at one time was a “Tithe Paying ” Ordained Pastor. The Faith Group does Absolute Nothing to help their ministers to serve in a Churh or ‘ Stand a Pulpit ! ” They have their OWN Automomony Clauses !!
Peter A Vandever [08/18/2015 2:35 PM]
Charismatics believe in the power of God. The evidence issue is not a big deal. Pentecostals wear it as a medal of honor….. if it the initial evidence, what is the ongoing evidence?
Rick Wadholm Jr [08/18/2015 2:36 PM]
Indeed!

Stan Wayne How do we define neo? http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/pentecostals-blast-charsmatics-for-good/

The picture? It’s not anything without context. It could be a sporting event. Assuming it’s a picture of a worship event, it too could be Pentecostal, Charismatic, or any other fellowship within the evangelical stream.
