Byron Benefield | PentecostalTheology.com*Check your Jesus* I ask you to consider the possibilities of what I am proposing. All power signs and lying wonders from false prophets are carried out by demons. They enter the “temple” when someone believes their lies and make desolate that “temple” carrying them away in the flood of deception to destruction. What comes out of the mouth of the false teachers and preachers? We see in Rev 16:
Revelation 16:13-14 KJV And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Two things I believe is happening: #1 we have people that follow after signs and wonders believing that everything supernatural is from God. (I believe in the supernatural working of God but I check and discern those spirits not blindly receive them) #2 we have a compromising social ecumenical gospel that lowers Jesus to the level every other religious figure. The compromising gospel will set its believers against the True believers believing that they are the problem in the earth and should be done away with.
I believe we miss a lot of what the book of Rev is trying to show us when we only look for natural explanations.
Rev 12 Vs 15 serpent spewed water out of his mouth that he would cause her to be carried away. Again, what comes out of the mouth? Words. I believe this is a picture of false doctrines carrying people away to destruction. 2Co 11:3-4 KJV v3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. v 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. * When one believes this “other” gospel they receive this “other” spirit and are really following this “other” Jesus which is anti-Jesus. “Anti” does not only mean against but “instead of” or “in place of” Jesus is implied.
This mystery of iniquity is already at work. This is the great falling away that we are told would come.
Check your Jesus. Which one are you following?
He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
