For a large part of John 8, Jesus is having a discussion with the Jews about who his Father is and who their Father is.

Some people read Galatians as an anti-Jewish letter, but the key to understanding Paul’s message is rooted in the Galatian context. Galatian gentile believers wanted to be circumcised to become Jews. They felt that would give them something th…
A friend of mine who is long passed on was very wise. He was once a Democrat but finished his life as a Republican. He achieved much in his lifetime. Some of the things he wrote and said ring true today, just the same as they were back in his time. For example, he said, […]

John 11:11-15; “After saying these things, He said to them, ‘Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him.’ The disciples said to Him, ‘Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.’ Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that He meant taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus […]

The rapture, the catching away of the living to join Jesus and the dead in Christ in the air before the impending Tribulation is seemingly on the minds of many at this late hour in human history. The faithful are watching while waiting, scoffers are scoffing, and the unfaithful are busy preparing for this event […]
The post Will You Be Raptured? :: By C. Gray Adams appeared first on Rapture Ready.
Anticipation is building. Can you feel it? We know daybreaks are dwindling and that soon, the final sunset will come when the Son sets out to claim His bride. The concept of us being raptured, us being snatched away from this wicked world just in the nick of time, is so utterly fantastical and inconceivable […]

There is absolutely no question that Paul did repent (i.e., had a change of direction in his heart), as is clearly attested to in scripture. Therefore, the question being raised isn’t really an issue of exactly where (or when) this change within him may have occurred, other then how it relates to having occurred before or after his salvation. If his salvation preceded his repentance, then surely it must be attributed completely and entirely to God’s grace (and foreknowledge), given that Saul/Paul was a “chosen vessel.” (see Exodus 33:19;Acts 9:15.)
Peter spoke (to the whole house of Israel) on the day of Pentecost and instructed them to “repent and be saved.” However, Paul preaches a slightly different message that makes little to no mention of repentance being required as a condition of salvation, referring to his message of salvation by a new name, “the gospel of the grace of God.” (Acts 20:24.) In fact, Paul states that it is the goodness of God that leads one to repentance in Romans 2:4.
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and
longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to
repentance?
Repentance, at some point, is what God commands of all men (Acts 17:30)… but why is there so little mention of it in all of Paul’s epistles if it is thought to be a prerequisite to salvation?
Is it because the Gentile nations were not under the law (as Israel was) and would simply not relate to repentance in the same way that Israel did?
Romans 4
[15] Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no
transgression. [16] Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by
grace…

Radio talk show host Dan Bongino was telling his audience last Tuesday that the evil taking place has changed America—greatly diminished the nation’s greatness. He concluded that those of patriotic determination must resolve to fight with all political might to counter the wickedness. Bongino said, in effect, that it isn’t any longer just disagreement within […]

Prophetic scripture informs us that the world will be divided into ten spheres of influence as we approach the end times (Revelation 17:12). These ten realms will be ruled by ten kings who will wield great power over the whole earth. Then, midway through the period we call the Tribulation, the ten kings will turn […]
