Can the Great Tribulation Begin in 2016 or 2017?
By COGwriter B. Thiel & C. Page – – – Will Great Tribulation Begin in 2016?

HAVE WE ENTERED THE EARLY PART OF THE TRIBULATION? As a second point, the Bible makes it clear that the clock for the seven year tribulation begins its countdown with the initiation of a specific seven year treaty between Israel and her surrounding enemies (Dan. 9:27). #BOOM http://www.voe.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/3702_Featured_Article.pdf

Not if you are referring to this. Matthew 24:21 KJVS
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Because that only after false christ, war, famine, and pestilences and death which is the order of all the passages of matthew, mark, luke, and revelation. Its also after the abomination of desolation so even if you are pretrib and the rapture happened today it would be at least 3.5 years before the great tribulation is possible.

If preterism is true….when did this happen. Isaiah 17:1 KJVS
[1] The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

The only Preterists among early Pentecostals were Oneness people http://preteristapostolicpentecostaloneness.50megs.com/

A preterits believes most prophecies are fulfilled (and some that Jesus has already returned) therefore the gifts of the Spirit have stopped working about 70AD. How can оне be a Pentecostal and believe the Spirit has stopped working? Impossible.

When was satan locked in the abyss for a thousand years. Is he out right right now “for a season”?

It is either Dispensation all the way , are nothing . We can’t pick and chose , which Scriptures we are going to believe in .

I dont know what box i fit in but i believe we live under a new covenant, in a dispensation of grace, where the gifts of the spirit still operate, God still has plan for Israel, and plenty of prophecy has yet to be fulfilled.

Amen and AMEN Brother . Neither do they believe in the fact , that the gospel given to Peter , is different ( by Dispensation in the timing of JESUS WORK on the CROSS ) , than the gospel given to Paul . WHY in the name of GOD , would Gal 2: 7 2 , be in the Bible , if there wasn’t a difference in Paul’s gospel for Gentiles and Peter’s gospel for the Jews ? ? ? ? ? ?

Dispensationalists are not always cessationists but that’s why Pentecostals are not always dispensationalists…

It either ALL the WAY , or nothing . Same as Salvation by GRACE , it’s SALVATION By Grace , are it isn’t Salvation .

Good point by Ricky Grimsley on HOW PARTIAL PRETERISM REGARDS SATAN… No real Pentecostal believes satan has been bound in 70 AD. At least I’ve never met one that believed that wholeheartedly…

I have studied preterist views much. The only one i know locally wont talk to me because i am a heretic (open-theist) lol. But when was the mark of the beast and when did the scorpion things of revelation 9 sting men and they couldnt die for five months. The questions are endless.

Preterists know it all because it has all happened. Open-theists dont know much for sure because everything is a subject of a change. And sometimes it is unknown even if change is for sure happening or not

The open-theists know that God’s word is true.

It certainly can begin this year but if you look at the language the antichrist confirms a covenant that is already made. This covenant seems to either start temple worship or be during temple worship, so i would look at what the religious Jews are doing. Im still wondering how 144000 virgins are gonna be possible.
