We have a problem when we think that worship is public. What happened to the concept of the gatherings being for the Baptised? We should perhaps post disclaimers on the assembly doors telling people this is a private meeting to which they may enter but with no recourse to the law if they don’t like it. Maybe get people to sign while they are getting security-checked.

and thus the great apostacy continues as the Baptists now leave the true doctrines of the Bible behind and head towards implosion like the Methodists and the Presburterians and the Episcopols. This is so very sad, but must happen as the Bible says it will.

This is old news. The Episcopalians have been doing this for years. Sad that it finally crept into the Baptists but when you think of the fact that in our world today, you don’t really need genuine commitment to Christ, integrity, walking in holiness, etc. to be a pastor. Nope, all you need is several thousand dollars for a seminary degree, a license to preach from that particular denomination and a willing and supportive congregation. Even with the gay issue aside, how many churches, of the MANY churches we have in this country, are “the real Mcoy”? And how many are social clubs that probably have pastors who are still in the closet? There’s an eye-opening thought. We don’t put people in the pulpit because they have a heart for God, we put them there because they’re successful and paid a seminary big $$$.

Now, see, this, my friend, is the result of years and years of compromise on the Bible. The SBC had been compromising in how they taught the Bible for decades. Al Mohler came in and tried to repair that. But it was too widespread for that. If this is, indeed, an SBC move, then I submit to you another historic, Conservative Evangelical denomination has died. They have now become a “rainbow church”.
