Are there good months to schedule a revival for your church? Do you make an annual schedule that includes revivals?

I always pray and only schedule if I aense God’s leading. Usually March and September is when that gets scheduled.

I’d like to see the Holy Spirit direct pastors for revivals during Christmas and Easter seasons when many/most people go to church Peter

How in the hell do you schedule a revival? Do you schedule hurricanes too?

Wade T. Foster [09/24/2015 3:30 PM]
Revival being a set of services.. only God can send a true Revival.

The Holy Spirit can’t lift a stone too heavy for Her to lift!

interjecting gender equality into my comments…not trying to offend the men!

Link Hudson [09/24/2015 4:47 PM]
As far as gender terms for God go, I believe we should be consistent with the terms found in scripture.

Peter A Vandever [09/24/2015 4:50 PM]
Revival is not God’s response to man, but it is man’s response to God. If you believe that revival is about God, you have to believe that God smiled at our lack beforehand.

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:10 PM]

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:10 PM]
did you know that if cut weeds short that they look like grass from a distance

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:11 PM]
if its green then let it grow

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:11 PM]
then cut it back

John Kissinger [09/24/2015 11:12 PM]
cutting an acre of grass with a push mower should be an Olympic discipline. Overweight #Pentecostal pastors should do it at least twice a week #Iam1 Alan N Carla Smith

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:12 PM]
hey i love cutting grass

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:12 PM]

John Kissinger [09/24/2015 11:12 PM]

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:13 PM]

Francisco Arriola [09/24/2015 11:13 PM]

I believe in good preparation for a revival, prayer, adequate arrangements to properly fund the meetings, intense promotion so that all who are likely to attend will not miss it and to create a sense of expectation. Also the speaker should have some idea of what is expected of him which would include what not to say as well as what would be good to speak on. Every pastor is nervous that the evangelist will do harm as well as good. If they are honest they will tell the evangelist to please stay in the safe zone. Beyond that Dec. is usually not a good time and in cold climates neither is Jan. Just like in the natural world harvest time is confined to a short period.

The evangelist should have a dozen to twenty five web addresses to the “revival team” where he will be next. This will give him a chance to build a team to help with the upcoming meeting and to suggest ways that they can help prepare the way. This might include music, counseling at the altar and a follow up team to help blend the seekers into the life of the church.

Invariably there will be second shift workers, truck drivers etc..The ” team should identify them and help the evangelist find a way to minister to them as well. This could be a 10 am meeting or a well thought out message sent to their social media or something in print. The pastor should relax and realise that you can’t give the wrong message to the right people, that is those who are being called into the fold.
