One touch from the Master. The man was a leper, an outcast an untouchable. He had an incurable disease, he couldnt get a job or go to church. He couldnt go home or even walk the street without crying out, Unclean Unclean Unclean. O but one day he heard of Christ, his kindness and healing grace. He came to the Saviour and his life was changed forever.
Sometimes we miss the obvious. sometimes we get in a hurry. sometimes we just dont know what to do. The life and ministry of Jesus is full of stories like this. Jesus receives sinners. The helpless and hopeless come to Jesus and he meets their need. He doesnt deny them. He even sent Peter fishing one time when he got trouble over his taxes. Jesus is good that way. a coin in the fishes mouth for Peter, a miracle and a new life for the leper.
Jesus is still in the miracle business. Jesus is still moved by his compassion and his goodness. Jesus is still reaching and healing. Jesus still saves sinners. And sets the captives free. His mercy is from everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations. peace .
