“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
If you are Born Again “in Christ” you have a new life; you are a whole new person, with a spirit that has been made like Christ’s with the gift of His righteousness within.
Then, why don’t we see that reflected all the time in daily living. Rom. 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to this world. How? By being transformed through the renewal of our minds. That’s the secret to releasing the new you.
We renew our minds to the truth of God’s Word concerning us. It is seeing ourselves in the mirror of God’s Word, seeing His glory within our Born Again spirits, that changes us from glory to glory (2 Cor. 3:18). That knowledge, that awareness of His grace is key to a changed life.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). It is the knowledge of who we have become in Christ that gives us the hope and confidence to change in daily life. Therefore, as Joe Cala wrote elsewhere:
“Allow your new you to come through this new year ahead! Allow what has begun in your heart to come into completion in this life!”
Joe is right, and we do that by coming to know and believe and stepping out in faith in that awareness of who we are now in Christ.
No longer a sinner, in spite of many falls, but a saint, because of God’s grace in Jesus Christ, we are free to live without the guilt and shame of the past, arising to the empowered life of following after the spirit rather than the flesh.
A new hope, a new year, bringing victory for all who will believe who God has made them to be.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).
Only we can hinder that by unbelief. Choose to believe today and for the new year that He is completing the good work that He began in you.
This is your year to let your light shine. This is your year to start showing forth all that your can be in Christ. Shovel away from memory all the old dirty snow of the past, and allow the fresh, pure snow within your heart to sparkle in the sunlight of the Son in your life.

Ray E Horton I didn’t know what to do. It said to go to app place. I didn’t know if I had information correct or not. And I didn’t know what to do about going to App Store. What it cost. I’m new at these kind of things. Just explain I tried finding the seven signs initial it said go to app. I went to something and it ended up in my daddy’s family pictures from years ago. So what do I do.

I don’t know if you can go to app without signing something for money. I hadn’t ever went to app. Seem like one time. So I didn’t know if it has charges added to your phone bill or not. If it does I could pay my daughter for it each month. She gave this to me as a gift. And pays the bill. So I try to keep her from having a larger bill. But she wouldn’t say anything , unless it is a lot. So someone just needs to explain to me to do to understand these things.I have never workers with apps before. Just let me know. I read some writing earlier. But didn’t get it all read. It was several pages. I would need to read again. A whole days reading. I would have to do that in parts. I’m sorry about that. Tell me what to do.

Ray E Horton I know it wasn’t you. But as I read some pages. Itcc v ask about seven signs. I read what I thought was one. It looked like a number two was there. But I thought it said something about go to app. I thought it said something about E mail. But it was just one line. So I put the main part on that one line. I couldn’t understand what to do then. I sure hope I haven’t messed myself up. Because I’m not ease to put my E mail down. I should have known not to put it there. But it isn’t your fault at all. I should have read all the papers. But it was at least a whole days papers to read , or it would have been longer for me. Because I have to work my Sunday School lesson in. It takes you to a lot of different Scriptures and sometimes different books. I like to know I have it studied well to teach it to a class. But I don’t know where I go from here on your comments. I’m sorry I messed it up. But I knew it wasn’t in what you said. I might have gotten the other mixed up. I’m just worried about where my E mail went to. Don’t think I was referring to you at all. I just thought you might be able to straighten me out. It wasn’t your fault at all. I didn’t even think that. Maybe I’ll learn how to use this one day.

But I thought I did. You and Pentecostal Theology has been a great blessing to me. I’m so thankful for the great ministry , because you never know who’s heart has been changed because of it.
