Библията Тв | PentecostalTheology.comAsking your position on the New Apostolic Reformation and the neo-Pentecostal congregations including “3rd wave”?
Jon Sellers [07/04/2015 4:35 PM]
I like Wimber nnd the Vineyard Movement. I don’t like the pyramid structure of the NAR. Obviously, a mixed bag in terms of teachings and practices.

John Ruffle did you ask just from curiosity or you’ve had some dealings with them recently?
John Ruffle [07/06/2015 6:59 AM]
Good question. There was an article on-line Charisma about it a week or so ago, and I have read a number of Peter Wagner’s books some years ago. Many years ago, I subscribed to the Morningstar Journal as well. But more and more, it does appear to be cultish, with the emergence of super-apostles and authroity structures. Having said that, the new evangelical/charismatic churches ARE the fastest growing in the world, and so I will not dismiss them out of hand. I think we can learn from each other; the one’s I cna;t learn from (other than learn to avoid) maybe are those who are so very rigid in doctrinal positions other than the true fundamentas of the faith. If I can find the article, I’ll try to post it here, but prob. won;t be today. Thanks for asking!

I guess P. Jenkins was not too far off in 2002 “There is now talk that the Virgin [Mary] might be proclaimed a mediator and co-Savior figure, comparable to Jesus himself, even a fourth member of the Trinity.” http://cupandcross.com/the-next-christendom/

Dan Irving Who is their leader now?
Dan Irving
Since the recent decease of C. Peter Wagner? Good question. Although, I don’t know that anyone exercised any real oversight of their “apostles,” so-called.

Seems methodology of leadership and system structure are undergoing a major change. But to what end? Terry Wiles
