Yes, sanctification, being made righteous and set apart, being united with God in our spirit man is key to the new creation reality of our New Birth. We must understand that we are tripartite beings. While our spirits (our actual identity) are made holy and sanctified once and for all, the outworking of that in our souls (mind, will, emotions) Is a life-long process. And our bodies have to wait for their glorification on the other side.

Well I guess it’s ok to tell. Well if you will look on my page. Louise Cummings Page. And stroll down through my pictures. You will find a picture of a man. Not far from where I live. I guess I could call my neighborhood. This man went out to walk his dogs. The moon was beautiful. He took a picture. And on that picture it showed Jesus on the Cross. He put it on Facebook. My daughter downloaded the picture from his face book to hers. I had her to download it to my Facebook. He said when he went back out to see if it was still there. And it was already gone. But what I’m going to tell you is the truth. I would never lie. I turned on across to Fox News. To see if anything new was on. And several topics was on the whole page. I can’t explain how it happened. But down through the middle of the page. That picture of the moon with Jesus on the Cross. Went almost to the bottom of my page. You could see a little of Fox News on each side to let me know I was still on Fox News. But the picture covered a large portion through the middle. I wanted to snap a picture of it but didn’t know how. I was going to get my daughter to. And she was praying. Before she got in bed. I was going to touch it to see if it to see if I could get it all the way down , or for some reason. And it disappeared. I was waiting to get my daughter to make a picture , when she finished praying. But when I touched it , it went away. You could see Fox News on the sides. Couldn’t hear them.but the pictured reached almost to the bottom.

O yes we were talking about Sanctification. I always counted it as being set apart. I believe when you are saved. You feel a load off sin lifted. But Sanctification seems to take the desire to sin out of you , and you seem to want more of Jesus than anything else. Then ring filled with The Holy Ghost, when staying prayed up is when you are used more with the gifts of the Spirit.

On the other it’s ok if you are skeptical of the other. But what I said about going through the middle of my page on Fox News. I know was true. How it happened. I have no idea. Unless the Lord is trying to tell me something. Like keep my mind off that and on Him. I do try to keep up with to much news. When I just need to give it to God.

RichardAnna Boyce your statement is PURE gnosticism – you claim sanctification in the spirit but dialisticly continue to sin in the flesh

  • Reply September 19, 2019

Melvin Harter sounds fully sanctified to me. I believe in full Sanctification. That’s how you are , The Bible calls it Baptized in the Holy Ghost. Some people calls filled. And that word might be used in the Bible to. It’s hard to notice how every word is spoken. But it means the same thing.

Louise Cummings As I see it, our spirit, which is our identity is fully sanctified when we receive the Holy Spirit at the New Birth. Meanwhile, for our souls, that is, mind, will and emotions, sanctification isawork in progress. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost is different, and is a follow-up experience for power toeffectively witness.

Ray E Horton yes I know without the Spirit we couldn’t be saved. But I always considered Sanctification was when we got saved our love for the Lord , kept us praying until the desire of sin was gone. Well to be honest. I always considered Sanctification, before Holy Ghost Infilling. Because I guess I have always looked at that Scripture that He doesn’t dwell in a vessel that’s set apart from sin. And that was what Sanctification did , was set you apart from sin. But you explain it so Beautiful.

Well as you explain it at the New birth. That sounds good. Yes we teach I pretty sure you can be saved an Sanctified at the same time. Yes it is a different experience to be filled with The Holy Ghost. But I think I’ve heard it said three different works of Grace. I guess is why I explain it like that. But the way you explain it. In my mind , it’s almost like you are saying. Yours explains it without flaws.

Do you not believe that on the Day Of Pentecost was when the Holy Ghost Came , while they was tarrying in the Upper Room. And it came like a rushing Might wind and forked tongues of fire sat upon each of them. And they all spake in tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. That’s when I believe The Holy Ghost was given. But they had the Spirit before that. We had to , in order to be saved. But I think the Bible talks about Sanctification before that. If I’m not mistaken. But I’m pretty sure it does. That’s the way I always felt that Acts 2: Explained it.

The fire and the Wind isn’t written with The Hoy Ghost afterward. But only one place I think is the only place that Speaking in other Tongues is in all other places. When it says they were filled with The Holy Ghost.

Yes we are to let Jesus or the Holy Ghost use us daily as He wants to work.

    • Reply September 20, 2019

      RichardAnna Boyce

Louise Cummings Yes Holy Spirit is not for us to stay ‘filled from one time filling’; but to be drained out for the benefit of God’s work in others; to be filled again each day and us to be a manager of God’s deposit of Holy Spirit within us. It is similar principle with sanctification. Our spirit is filled with God’s holiness; it cannot sin. But our soul/flesh ‘leaks’ and God’s holiness/sanctification/ salvation needs to be put back on by choice each day, as we progressively mature in our Christian life.

what RichardAnna Boyce is proposing is dualistic gnosticism It goes into separating the human being like it’s a pie. With such approach one can also say that the flesh is demonized but the spirit is free for God – bapticostal malarkey Joe Absher Isara Mo

In the struggle! I didn’t realize how much the church world has changed over the years until yesterday. I had to ask a brother in the Lord to stop playing that girly worship music. It was awful.

The devil has played a fast one in area of worship and praise…
I cant understand a snake dancing or a Michael Jackson sleak dancing in what they call ” gospel” music..
When I asked a youth praise leader why are they singing and dancing to ” RAP” or is WRAP(I dont know the difference) he told me because the music and dancing “attracts” the young..
Then I said to myself do people need to be entertained to save their necks from the gallows?..
Salvation was not meant to entertain people but to run away from Gods Wrath..

Man is not a loaf of bread with slices..
One slice called spirit..another slice called soul with minor slices called mind will emotions..
Man is a TOTAL WHOLE…spirit flesh bones etc etc.
The operations of what WE THINK or imagine to be ” separates” or ” segments” eg spirit and soul are interelated as ONE OPERATION but different mechanisms…
The effects of spirit are suppossed to be supreme over flesh and honestly i think this is the reason for sanctification..
Spirit desires life, flesh desires death and the duo conflict is only won when flesh submits to spirits law and it ALSO desires life..
The old man has to give way to the new man but in the unchanged container ie the body….

I would be a slave for God anytime , rather than be a slave for the devil. Or even be a rich man for the devil. There’s this saying I have heard a lot. I wouldn’t trade. God and one person is a majority with God.

Not dualism as we are told Holy Spirit will divide spirit from soul; and our theology will be judged and rewarded/ lose rewards, at the Bema………Hebrews 4:12-13
Hebrews sternly reminds us of God’s penetrating scrutiny–He is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. It is precisely in the heart where hardening takes place and unbelief arises. One day, at the Judgment Seat of Christ, each believer must face such a scrutinizing judgment by God (cf. Rom 14:10-12; 1 Cor 3:12-15; 4:4-5; 2 Cor 5:9-10). As sobering as God’s judgment is, we are not left helpless. Fortunately we have a High Priest with the grace and mercy we need in the trials we face, when our progressively sanctified soul is at war with our positionally sanctified spirit.
