Bill Stockham | PentecostalTheology.comGREAT IS THE LORD AND MOST WORTHY OF PRAISE! :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: [David was a type of Christ, in that he agonized before he reigned, was humbled before he was dignified, and that as there were many who loved and respected him, and sought to do him honor, so there were many who hated and resented him, and sought to do him damage!] “I say to the LORD, “You are my God.” Hear, LORD, my cry for mercy. Sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, YOU SHIELD MY HEAD IN THE DAY OF BATTLE.” (Psa. 140:6-7) [Let my prayers be like the incense offered every morning and evening before the Lord, on the golden altar, before the veil of the sanctuary!] “I call to you, LORD, come quickly to me; hear me when I call to you. MAY MY PRAYER BE SET BEFORE YOU LIKE INCENSE; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.” (Psa. 141:1-2) [You are my only sanctuary, please hear me right now as I cry out to you!] “I cry to you, LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; RESCUE ME FROM THOSE WHO PURSUE ME, for they are too strong for me.” (Psa. 142:5-6) [I know Lord that in my weakness, your strength will be manifest!] “So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed. I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done. I SPREAD OUT MY HANDS TO YOU; I thirst for you like a parched land.” (Psa. 143:4-6) [Let me always be found doing your will Oh God; for that is the only safe ground for me!] “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; MAY YOUR GOOD SPIRIT LEAD ME ON LEVEL GROUND.” (Psa. 143:10) [We are to be peace loving people, but we know there is a battle coming; prepare us for the battle Lord!] “Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, IN WHOM I TAKE REFUGE, who subdues peoples under me.” (Psa. 144:1-2) [We cannot hide from you Lord so please…] “Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. GREAT IS THE LORD AND MOST WORTHY OF PRAISE; his greatness no one can fathom…Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. (Psalms 145:2-3, 13-14)
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that THE LORD IS TRUSTWORTHY IN ALL HE PROMISES AND FAITHFUL IN ALL HE DOES!
