“When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, “THE LORD IS WITH YOU, MIGHTY WARRIOR.” (Jud. 6:12) [The Lord was sending Gideon and his army of 32,000 men against an army of 120,000 trained solders, but listen to what He says:] “The LORD said to Gideon, “YOU HAVE TOO MANY MEN. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’ Now announce to the army, ‘Anyone who trembles with fear may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.'” SO TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND MEN LEFT, while ten thousand remained.” (Jud. 7:2-3) [So now its 10,000 men against 120,000, but God said:] “…to Gideon, “There are still too many men. Take them down to the water, and I will thin them out for you there. “Separate those who lap the water with their tongues as a dog laps from those who kneel down to drink.” THREE HUNDRED of them drank from cupped hands, lapping like dogs. All the rest got down on their knees to drink.” (Jud. 7:4 – 6) [So now its 300 men against 120,000, it’s a good thing that NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THE LORD! So the Lord sent Gideon into the Midianite camp that night!] “Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream…This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite.” GOD HAS GIVEN THE MIDIANITES AND THE WHOLE CAMP INTO HIS HANDS.” (Jud. 7:13 -14) [Do we have the same right as Gideon (WHOM THE Lord used to defeat 120,000 of the enemy with a vase and a trumpet), to ask the Lord to help us?] “…Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and IT WILL MOVE. NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU.” (Matt. 17:20) [Ask, but ask believing!] “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE, and YOUR JOY WILL BE COMPLETE.” (John 16:24)
