You know how I got pulled into street minstry? I prayed for love. It’s that simple. I was praying for love and I was coming home one day and saw someone having trouble on the sidewalk. I couldn’t pass them by. So i try to help in some small way if I can. Then it was gospel tracts. That was 30 years ago. Now it’s street preaching and praying with people to get right with God.
A few years ago I prayed God if there’s anything I can do or anywhere I can go to be of service…”I heard a little voice “go”. A year later I quit my job gave everything away kissed my family good bye and bought a one way ticket. I didn’t know any body or speak the language. I moved into a drug rehab worked day labour to pay my way. 90 days.
All I could do was lay my hands on them and cry. Ask God to heal them and deliver them and save them. Breaking the curse of addiction and asking God to give them faith to be saved. De nambre de Jesus rompe todos maldeciones. Jesus name breaks every curse.
To see a man struggling to be free. Wrestling with God and hell. To see death and darkness in the soul of a man on dope. Then to see the light come on. To see him make his peace with God. To put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. To see a man pass from death to life. Out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s own Son. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for that. It’s a miracle.
The street preaching part is investment. Putting something the holy Spirit can use on the inside of a man to bring faith and conviction and hope. Jesus is that good. Seems simple enough.
It’s the conviction I get for not trusting God and letting God’s word take its course. That’s hard for me. The farmer is patient. I want results. That’s bad. It’s the curse of this age. God help me. I want people to know the great love of God in the person of Jesus Christ. His mercy forgiveness pardon and deliverance. I think every one should hear the name of Jesus with faith and rejoicing and victory over sin. With conviction clarity and passion. Sure seems simple enough.
So that’s why I do the things I do. Motives and reasons. Love and mission. “a pure heart towards God, a tenderheart towards men” thats my motto. Goodbye to the past, faith is NOW!!! Let everything be for his glory and he is so Worthy. Jesus is Worthy. Worthy is the Lamb…
