Stan Wayne There was once in a life time Solar Eclipse prophetically revealed. Followed by a prophesied major storm only a week later and who’s to say what else by the prophesied deadline of Sept. 4. All as mentioned in the Bible. Yeah, I’d say it is a pretty big deal to simply ignore it all

There is nothing prophetically special about the 48 contiguous US states – these events happen frequently

Even the US will have a better one in a few years

Stan Wayne You mean like Katrina in 2005 and now exactly another one like it exactly 12 prophetic years later? Now, how coincidental is that?

Per NASA, there has been an average of 236 solar eclipses per century since the first century. Said differently, since the time of Jesus, there has been a solar eclipse somewhere on the planet every 2.5 years. Please direct me to the prophecy that makes the 2017 solar eclipse any different from the almost 5000 that have occured since Jesus promised he would return.

Russell Would you please name the last total Solar Eclipse to cross America?

Ninety-nine years! What prophetic significance, book/chapter/verse, arises from the fact that the solar eclipse crossed the land mass of America in August of 2017? On average, a solar eclipse occurs every 2.5 years somewhere around the globe. When an eclipse crosses Israel, Peru, Siberia, South Africa, or any other part of the planet, is there prophetic signicance for those regions as well? Or is it just America? Or could it be just one more naturally occuring event in a long history of such events used by end time sensationalists?

How is the number 99 prophetic?

1 short of a century cycle Abraham was 99 years old when he was circumcised 9 is the largest and last digit correlating “finality” and completeness.

Jesus used numbers of this form in his parables. For example, he used 99 = 100 – 1 (Matthew 18:12). How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? Likewise, 9 = 10 – 1 in (Luke 17:17). And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? (Luke 17:17).

The numbers 9 and 99 are not equivalent. In the parable, Jesus used a number. In this case it was 100 sheep. Your latter reference uses the number 10. The numbers 100 and 10 are not equivalent. Neither are the numbers 99 and 9. Gideon’s band of soldiers was 300 in number, thats 3 x 100. What is the prophetic significane of this? Nothing. Nebuchadnezzar’s image was 90 feet tall and 9 feet wide. That’s 99. Prophetic significance? Nothing! This is problematic in three areas: 1) book/chapter/verse that states the number 99 is somehow prophetically significant; 2) even if it is significant, what has that to do with America?; and 3) where is the biblical validation that the number 99 is prophetically significant for America?

Well you dont have to agree of course but myself and multitude others are observing the signs of the times. Shall we not all do that ?

Indeed, signs of the times abound. That said, let us take note of the biblical signs (e.g., 1 Timothy 4:1-2 or 2 Tim 3:1-7) and not sensationalism for which there is no biblical support.
