But there are elements in that verse that have universal application: humble ourselves, pray, seek God, turn from wicked ways.
But Yahweh only has a land covenant with ethnic national Israel.
The Gentiles (including the USA) must heed Jonah’s warning to Nineveh to repent of wickedness or suffer national judgment, which has already come to America.
May God have mercy on the USA.
