The Bible… One book… From the beginning til the end, God said to keep His commands FOREVER. He never wavered from that. Yet there are people who will still tell me that I don’t have to obey… Then again, the serpent also told Adam and Eve that they don’t have to obey either….

Michel, isn’t it more accurate to say the bible is made up of 66 books, written by many different people from different places and at different times, spanning over many centuries? For instance in Ex 23:17 ” Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord God.” Surely that is not required of us today.

Didn’t we just do this? LOL My question is this. Since we are picking out the Sabbath here, why did Jesus constantly break the Sabbath if this is such a dire issue? Many times He did things on the Sabbath that broke this law, thus sending the Pharisees into a frenzy. If we are so strictly commanded to keep this particular day legalistically, why did He break it and say to the Pharisees that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath (Mark 2:27)? Also, why did Paul address our freedom from the law in Galatians 3?
Things like sexual immorality are addressed as prohibited both in the OT and NT. Why then, are we holding so militantly to laws that we were freed from? What benefit is the Sabbath as a law aside from the principle of rest for our benefit as, I see, Jesus addressing to the pharisees.

All i keep hearing is “blah blah blah, keep the law even though I dont”. Unless you cut foreskins after baptism at your church, i aint hearing what you are saying.

Ugh I came on to this site hoping to learn a thing or two, and I sure didn’t expect all this bickering all the time. It’s continuous. It’s not even constructive criticism is just picking and fussing. That my dears is something I’m positive isn’t what Christ stood for.
