Aside from the folks who believe the Sethite version of Genesis 6:1-4, most of the rest of us have come to the realization that the sons of God (benai Elohim) passage references really were sons of God. In other words, the supernatural interpretation of this text is the correct one.
Any attempt to demythologize the verses and make the sons of God good and righteous men as descendants of Seth, and the daughters of man only Cain’s offspring – wicked women! – has far too many flaws to be considered proper hermeneutics. As a reminder, here are the verses:
“When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the Lord said, ‘My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.’ The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.”
Failure to read the Bible literally when it’s meant to be taken as such is a fatal flaw, which results in the loss of true understanding as to the overall big picture of Scripture that God intends.
The sons of God descending to earth and procreating with human women is one outcome of the prophecy of Genesis 3:15:
“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
Satan’s offspring, i.e., those descending from the serpent, are not simply spiritual in nature, just as Jesus’ offspring aren’t simply spiritual. There is a literal and a physical manifestation of both.
Those which come from the serpent take many forms and have appeared throughout history. They include the rebellious sons of God, their Nephilim children, those who work for Satan today, and whatever the enemy will look like during the Tribulation.
No doubt Satan had a hand in goading the spiritual beings in heaven to disobey God so that they would leave their proper dwelling and come to earth (Jude 6). It had to be a day of glee for him seeing others follow his lead. Even more so, the consequences they wrought in taking human form and “marrying” the beautiful daughters of man had to be delicious for Satan to taste. Consider the consequence as Genesis 6:11-12 tells us:
“Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.” (emphasis mine)
Everything that came after this decision by God’s rebellious sons brought horrific results to the planet and to generations born to man afterward. Violence erupted and became so bad that the entire earth was consumed by it. Many scholars believe that because of the size of the Nephilim – after all, they were giants perhaps 12-15 feet tall – with their appetites being so great, that after they’d eaten the fruit of the planet, they began consuming mankind – cannibalism – and perhaps even each other.
What does it mean that all flesh was corrupted? They had violated God’s law of each according to its kind detailed in the creation account. The sons of God intermingled with humanity and produced hybrid flesh known as the Nephilim. They were part spiritual entity and part human. They were flesh but of an entirely different kind. But that wasn’t the end. They very likely, in some manner, inseminated animals to produce the creatures of mythology such as Satyrs, Minotaurs, Cyclops, and many more. All flesh on earth was corrupted in some way, shape, or form. DNA had been altered. Blood types had been merged that never should have been. It’s no wonder that we read in Genesis 6:5-7,13:
“The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, ‘I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.’…. And God said to Noah, ‘I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.’”
Yet, God declared one man and his family righteous. What does this mean? His DNA – his bloodline – had not changed with the mixing of different kinds of species.
His body was pure as God intended. In other words, he remained fully human.
Why is this important? Because true humanity had to remain in the world so that when Jesus came as a man, He could redeem mankind. He didn’t come to deliver hybrid beings from sin; He came solely to redeem the creation of what God had pronounced as very good.
This takes us to the present day – how the past relates to the prophecy of Genesis 3:15.
Satan and his minions are busier now than they’ve ever been because they know that time is short. What they did in the antediluvian past, they are ramping up again to unprecedented levels.
Perhaps the creation of the Nephilim offspring of the sons of God came about through a type of fornication; perhaps some of what occurred then resulted from actual DNA experimentation and manipulation. Regardless, what we have now appears to be solely the result of purposeful DNA tampering.
I say appears because sometimes things aren’t what they seem. There may be benai Elohim present on the earth and intermingling with human women. There may be Nephilim here and hidden in remote areas. We simply don’t know.
What we do know is what has come about from COVID. The likelihood is high that this affliction was engineered specifically to require the release of the so-called vaccines. These injections are, without a doubt, DNA-altering drugs. What they produce through the mRNA technology is corruption in every cell in the body at the DNA level.
We don’t know if everyone who’s gotten the jab has their DNA changed like this because the batches of these shots are seemingly all different. Some lots are definitely more deadly than others and/or cause serious adverse effects. We do know that the effort to push these compounds on every living human continues, whether in the guise of future COVID boosters, or more deviously, through concocting all future vaccines with this technology.
The plan is to expand the use of mRNA biotech and to manufacture all vaccines in this manner, as the headline at this link says: Endless mRNA jabs are now planned for multiple vaccine types, including influenza, HIV, RSV, Pneumococcal, Zika and many more. A word of warning: DO NOT take any more vaccines – EVER! The ultimate goal is for all peoples of the earth to be changed into something that isn’t human. In other words, the intent is to corrupt all flesh now, just as before the flood. If Satan can do this, he believes that he will win in his ages-old struggle to supplant God.
The one troubling thought some may have in this regard has to do with who God destroyed in the flood – literally everyone and everything that didn’t continue to have pure blood, i.e., all but Noah and his family.
What does that portend for the coming Rapture and ensuing Tribulation?
We have a type of Rapture in the foreshadowing deliverance of Noah. He was fully human because his blood wasn’t altered. Is that a problem for truly born-again believers today who got the jab? If their DNA is tainted and their humanity in this sense compromised, will they be left behind to perish along with the rest of corrupted flesh in the Tribulation because of how the Old Testament foreshadows the New Testament? I don’t believe so. The difference for us today is Jesus and the indwelling Holy Spirit within believers.
For those who are truly saved, the Holy Spirit is a seal and a promise of God’s grace and mercy. Despite having made a wrong choice to take one of these injections – we absolutely know how harmful they are, and they’ve never had the efficacy the authorities promised – true Christ followers will surely be protected and saved from the wrath to come. Although many Christians are suffering the same ways in which pagans are, the hope of Christ is what sets all of us apart – jabbed and unjabbed.
Another consideration in the analogy I’m presenting is the violence then versus now.
Obviously, God saw that the thoughts and actions of all those who lived at that time were great enough to include as a factor in His bringing the flood to destroy all life. Because we’re on the runway to the takeoff of the Man of Lawlessness, violence is increasing exponentially. We see in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 one of the various prophecies of this:
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.”
At some point, three key elements will converge, causing the Lord to take the action true believers have yearned for in these latter days:
- The DNA of enough unbelievers will be compromised such that God can declare that all flesh has been corrupted.
- Violence will increase to the point that God determines the entire earth is filled with it to overflowing.
- Very possibly, these two factors together will lead to the final critical tipping point: the fullness of the Gentiles will come in per Romans 11:25:
“Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”
Note that this last issue is a mystery that is only revealed at the proper time. Is that when items #1 and #2 are fulfilled?
As we survey the world, I think we can legitimately say that we are surely getting close to the first two points; where we are as to the third is anybody’s guess. Also, the question of how much persecution we in the western church might experience could certainly be a factor.
Given the convergence of all the other end-times signs, so that they don’t reach their expiration date (which events in the world have a tendency to do), these other three elements should rapidly come into play.
I hate to say it, given the doctrine of the imminency of the Rapture, but it seems to me we’ve still got a little way to go before the Day in which Christ appears in the clouds for those faithful to Him.
In the meantime, let’s not lose heart and hope. Jesus IS coming, and it will be sooner than we can imagine!
