Hollis Gause’s 2014 General Council #RAPTURE presentation:

Dr. R Hollis Gause is one of the best scholars this world has ever seen. (I counted a great privilege of having known this man. )

The work which he leaves for us is phenomenal. Gause has a way of taking the most complex issues and explaining them so gently so that a three year old child can understand. He writes with such grace and wisdom.

Obviously two events are described in verse one but he is “beseeching” you by both of them. They are back to back events that preceded the “day of the lord”.

Matthew24, luke21, mark13 rev 6 all have the same order. False christs, wars, famines, death, persecution, the gospel reaches the whole world, then jesus comes

Sometime after the midpoint but before the wrath of god. Also the 7 year period will be shortened (matt. 24:22) but that time will be returned to satan after the millennium as the (short season) when he tempts the nations. We are not appointed to wrath but i believe that means god’s wrath.

Yes i think most christians go to church and expect all the sinners to come to them. Almost prideful that they no affiliations with sinners.
