I pastored for a year in Chicago Metro and came in contact with David Lorency’a work (Billy Rayburn was metro overseer) with cross cultural ministries in Chicago. cross cultural ministries was incredible there.

Illinois was separate from Chicago metro and there were churches on the out skirts of Chicago in the metro there were numerous cross cultural churches in the metro at that time.

It was Park Boulevard Church of God in Glen Ellyn – don’t know if it is still there.

yes, you were in the metro about as… [well you know]. There were only 3 English speaking CoGs in Chicago Metro around 1995. I think there’s only one now and Glen Ellyn is about Wheaton. If the zip does not say Chicago, IL it’s probably not within the metro – but you knew that

given – the metro has grown some since then but anything pass the 290 loop is not metro and pass 355 is in Chicago about us 373** zip is in Atlanta 🙂 Speaking in Chicago, how are the churches in Cleveland, OH bro Melvin Harter ?

MOST CHURCHES are under the influence of the Mission’s representatives and that is why they don’t have a clue. The only contact the local church has is in the area of missions fundraising. Most representatives are under competition to raise the most missions money and the mission money is sacred.
