AND BRING BACK THE DREAM – Ray E Horton
Are you a defeated believer? That sounds like an oxymoron. Yet, many believers want the full inheritance but have not fully trusted Jesus with their lives. They are compromising because of the pressures of the world, therefore losing confidence in Him, and His life within, and not receiving the answers to their prayers.
For them, discouragement sets in, and they separate from other believers and are set up to be torn away from the faith by the lies of Satan.
But that does not have to be!
A full consecration is so important to really experiencing victory in this life and the fulfilling of your destiny
If you are Born Again, you once had a dream of serving the Lord. But a full consecration is so important to really experiencing victory in this life and the fulfilling of your destiny. Jesus accepts people as they are when they come to Him, and He makes them new creations, perfected in spirit. Then, there is a process in the transforming of our soul level (mind, will and emotions), renewing our minds in the Word of God to undue all the old baggage of wrong thinking and teaching we have experienced in life.
It is easy, with the busyness and pressures of life, to get away from our full commitment – the tug of the world is strong. That is why we do need to return to our first love and consecrate our lives once more. We do it by faith, choosing to fully trust Him and His love for us in every area of our lives. When you choose to trust, you can then relate to Him. Jesus desires a restoration (or establishment) of an intimate relationship with Him in your life.
It’s one thing to have the Lord’s wonderful grace in our lives through the precious blood of Jesus at the cross, the resurrected life and a wonderful inheritance, and another thing to understand and believe the fullness of that and receive it in our lives by faith, responding to life accordingly, following the Spirit rather than the flesh. Share your heart with Him, and renew your trust in Him, and He will lead you by His Spirit.
Having isn’t necessarily experiencing! I can have a beautiful painting, but if it is packed away in a box, or even in the midst of clutter, I won’t be experiencing and enjoying its beauty.
Let the Dream Return!
Just trust Jesus, and yield fully to Him, and watch life be renewed. Then come into His presence and experience the fullness of joy, which will be your strength for a vibrant, overcoming life in Him. Do it now and see for yourself.
Give Him your heart fully once more. You had a dream of a new life when you were Born Again. Let the dream return. You do it by faith, not by how you feel. Then tell someone. Return to fellowship in the family of God. He will then be able to lead you, and you will get out of yourself and be useful to others. The joy and excitement will surely be yours once more. It is time!
